Hey guys!

I think that dog sweater looks sweet.
I'm always a bit wary of dressing up animals, though. It's not like they're going to appreciate your handiwork. :XD

And I think I'd cry if my dog tore up or unraveled all my hard work.

YuenGuon 02-08-2009 11:06 PM

oh i know! My friend didn't like them either, but her dog is getting a little older now, so her dog needs it now.
[I might be getting a puppy soon!] If i made one for my soon to mine puppy, i'd definitely sew some lining on the inside.

Country_Bella_Rose 02-08-2009 11:08 PM

Hey, Knerd, where are the fish hats from? I think maybe I'd like to try one. Up until now I've only knitted a few small things, like a coin purse and a cell phone holder thingy.... :) They just look so cute!

Knerd 02-08-2009 11:10 PM

You can find the pattern here.

YuenGuon 02-08-2009 11:15 PM

Does anyone know of a good knitting pattern for a Snoopy or a Seahorse?
Either one would be great. My friend's birthday is coming up and I think it would be great to knit her one of those two things.

Hi there! Mind if I join you in that corner? I'm working on a really simple scarf right now. Basically, just for something to do when I get bored. I also have a lapghan started. It's a spiraling thing that requires crocheting with two colors at the same time.. sort of. Are you working on anything?

Sure sure, come on over. :D I'm just working on a scrap rug right now, to use up all the random yarn I've amassed over the years. It's a spiraling, awkward, cacophonous sort of rug, but I like it.

Country_Bella_Rose 02-08-2009 11:50 PM

Cool! I'd love to see a picture once it's done! How long have you been crocheting for? I mean.. you said you've collected yarn over the years... :)

Chexala 02-09-2009 12:10 AM

I've been crocheting for, hmm, 5 years maybe? My mom taught me how to knit maybe 12 years ago though, and I've been snitching yarn from her ever since.

Hah, not that I have much to show for it. I still only know very basic stitches, and I've unraveled almost everything I've ever made, which was mostly scarves anyway. I get bored of scarves. <shurg>

I'll see if I can whip up a picture of my rug at the moment.

Edit: Here is my rug: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v22/Litheria/rug.jpg

oooh! nice rug!

In the spirit of Valentine's Day I found the cutest pattern.

Here's mine that i made!

I've made quite a few. I'm making them for my friends. They're so easy and cute!

tirethminet 02-14-2009 05:45 PM

damnit, knerd.
stop making threads that attract my friends and, in turn, attract me. >_>;;

::pokes kimmie ^!!::

as for knitting, i am slowly eating my way through a lime green mohair/black bamboosilk (no srsly, it's called pandasilk) striped skinny scarf. :3
the stripes are random widths, though. 8D

ps.
that fish hat is epic. want. @[email protected]

I!

am working on a bag.

Using: hemp cord.

It is NOT easy.

In fact, it is at times difficult just to keep the stuff from twisting too much. It is NOT as flexible as normal yarn.

At moment I'm using US6 straight needles.
I may just frog the entire thing and start over with larger needles, because this project is not going near as fast as I would like it to, considering the limited time I have.

Knerd 02-18-2009 09:01 PM

I've never worked with hemp cord before.

You'll have to post a photo when you're all done!

Connielass 02-18-2009 09:04 PM

I most definitely will, but after I get myself a pair of US10(+) needles.

Knerd 02-27-2009 03:26 PM

So far this month, I've managed to finish about half a sock.

Not my most productive time ever.

But that half a sock looks pretty awesome!

YuenGuon 02-27-2009 04:02 PM

but socks are always awesome!

I'm working on this

and I'm using this yarn

I just started last night. This is going to take a long time.

Connielass 02-27-2009 04:06 PM

Yeah, a long time and a lot of yarn.
::shudders::
I've heard some nightmare stories about people attempting clapotis. I won't be up to that challenge for a long time.

YuenGuon 02-27-2009 04:09 PM

lol.
My friend gave me a lot of yarn for christmas so I'm ok in that area.
I started it last night and the pattern took me awhile to understand what I was supposed to be doing. I had to restart a couple times, but I get it now so I'm all good =]

I also have a lot of fun fur yarn I need to use.
I'm in the middle of a black fun fur scarf.
My friend gave me 7 skeins of bright fun fur yarn.
I need to find a purpose for that yarn.

Connielass 02-27-2009 04:19 PM

Maybe you could make another clapotis using the fun fur?

YuenGuon 03-13-2009 04:55 PM

Maybe. not sure the color would look that great though.
I'm trying to figure what to make this month.
I usually try to make something for my friend's for each holiday.
Kind of a small goal I have.
I was thinking of a st. patrick's day pin? like a four leaf clover?

Knerd 03-13-2009 07:38 PM

Maybe a clover hairband? That could come out really cute.

And I'm really happy today because I bought this:
https://knitbeads.com/images/P/Beyon...Moti2690_f.jpg

I can't wait to crochet some of these designs! I already have a ton of Granny Squares sitting around, so I'll use up my thread making some of these more interesting patterns, and hopefully I'll have an awesome afghan done soon.

YuenGuon 03-23-2009 01:27 PM

So I couldn't really make anything this month because I didn't have time because of midterms and such.
But hopefully I can have something ready for easter! that would be nice =)

Connielass 03-23-2009 05:03 PM

:headdesk:
I keep thinking I should take a picture and post it here, but I never get around to it. I've finished one side of the bag I'm working on.

YuenGuon 05-05-2009 11:18 PM

ahh! i totally forgot about knitting something for easter :(

Knerd 05-07-2009 11:48 PM

That's okay! You still have a little time left for Mother's Day.
I'm sure that your Mother or Grandmother would love a little handmade scarf or trinket.

Connielass 05-08-2009 04:37 AM

I'm still working on the same bag.
Work's been getting in the way.
AGGGHHHH!! It's going so slow!
