nighty night!
Enjoy sleep. I'm going to attempt to play games |
lol, making me so wanted to try real porn. DX
|
attempting to work out when out of shape sucks balls.
|
*tilts head* Am I too sleepy? I don't understand.... T__T
|
I went online to fine workout videos.
I'm fat and out of shaped, this confirms it even more. |
... Why care about shape? You are not working as a model or any kind of job that requires nice body shape...
health more important~ |
Tornadoes. Ick. Lil~~~
Hold me. ;__; |
i care about my body shape and I don't even have a job >_<
*holds Cricket* Aww whats wrong |
Really bad weather last night. I even made a topic about it in general discussion. Yeah. It was hectic.
Tornado sirens and everything. -Snuggles- |
Oh Cricket, that's terrible. I'd have been terrified. Glad everything's okay now though.
Maeve, out of shape does not necessarily mean that she is looking for a model's body--it can and usually does, refer to not being healthy enough to exercise easily. |
Heh. It was scary. I think the worst part was this morning and hearing on the news that the area by my uncle was really torn up and I hadn't heard from him. When I called I didn't get any answers from the house phone or his cell. I was really worried.
But believe it or not, I slept really well last night. |
So gald I don't live ina Tornado area. My freind did live near it, but she's not going back now for at least 5 months.
We did have sand tornado's when I lived in Saudi Arabia, mostly in the city, but they were usually small things that only lasted about a few minutes and didn't cause much damage... jsut pitty you if you got caught in it 'casue it stung liek a mopho. The sand STORMS were MUCH worse. OW! |
A good old Tornado sirens the town I live in plays those things even if their not a tornado but bad rain >_< But i guess it's a good thing the run them so much cause the town over from me their sirens wherent working when their was a tornado >_< *tackles Bilbo and Cricket into a group hug so no one is scared*
|
I'm not scared. The sun is shining right now (the nerve of the weather, honestly!), and the rain killed most of the pollen in the air so I'm not having an allergy attack.
I live in Tornado Alley. Kind of near the center of it. ^^;; You should go look at my topic in the general discussion. I said something about making a toast to Tornado Alley. |
We had bombing sirens. That they'd test four times a year. Scary, scary sound. Luckily never heard them other then those four times a year. I left before the car bombs started happening. >_>
I never want to live anywhere that has tornado's. I can't see how someone could think that living in such a place is a bright idea. Then again, earthquakes are probably much worse... we're still waiting for 'The Big One' to hit up here in the west. |
I've never been in a sand storm before whats that like?
I live where their are tornado as well >.< A few months ago the town I live in was on the news because of it..... It hit the whole college |
The "Big one" hit a hundred years ago.
Actually, tornadoes can happen anywhere in the United States. It doesn't matter where you live, they can happen. Earthquakes happen all over the place, and I think people who live in hurricane zones are freaking retards. I also think people who live near wildfire zones are retards. They keep trying to put out the fires, but are people really that stupid? Wildfires are nature's way of replenishing itself. They burn away the dead and diseased plants and make way for the young plants to grow. And the ashes in the soil make it richer and make it more fertile. By stopping the wildfires, we're only assuring that they'll occur more often. The more we put them out, the more they're going to burn. If we just let them burn themselves out, they won't happen very often. And any rich idiot that builds a multi-million dollar mansion in a wildfire zone deserves to have it burn. .___. Edit: Hey Lil, what state do you live in? o.O |
I don't understand why anyone would wanna live by anything like that...
I don't even wanna live where I am >.> I live in TN |
I live in Missouri. We generally get worse stuff than you do. X3
I love Missouri. Severe weather, I don't really care. I love Missouri. |
Well, we're waiting for 'The NEXT Big One'. Personally I'm not to concerned about it.. I just hope if I get caught in it I either survive well or die instantly.
Sand storms are PAINFUL. Owie! Imagine being whipped with 120 sand paper. You gotta cover your mouth to or you'll choke. You can't see the sun sometimes. Had to play baseball out in one once 'casue our gym teacher was a retard. NOT fun. It looked like a cat had gone nip crazy on my legs. The teacher was reprimanded though... They are not supposed to do that. To much of a choking health hazard. I had a dark skinned freind that left class to go out into one to go fetch her bag she accidentally left outside before it hit, and she came back in caked in orange all over. Had to used a vacuum cleaner to get it mostly off her. |
If I lived near sand storms I think I'd carry a bandanna and a pair of goggles with me everywhere. The bandanna to cover my nose and mouth, and the goggles for my eyes (obviously). Maybe even ear plugs to keep the sand out of my ears.
Hrm. You're actually giving me ideas for a story. >.>... |
I can't imagine why people would want to live in areas that are known for serious natural disasters--I mean, it's called TORNADO ALLEY! Why the HELL would you want to live there?!?!?! I feel the same way about people that live on the Gulf or in Southern CA too.
And you really can have tornadoes anywhere--we have old photos of a fairly major tornado that hit Worcester, MA back in the 50's. and I've felt small earthquakes before--in fact, we sit on a really major fault line; just waiting for it to let go one of these days. |
Always love inspiring stories.
Well, you knew when one was coming because it happened on uber windy days and they would actually announce 'chance of sand storm' in the news. Thing is, the city was so big, you could have a sand storm whip through one area and not another. People just dealt with it. Better then teh hail storm with baseball sized hail they had the year before I movd there. There were still cars with their roofs dented in all over the place from it and damage in walls in the like from direct hits. Apparently six people died in that from getting wailed in the head by ice O_o . Luckily it hasn't happened since. |
 Hail is scary. We may have Nor'Easters around here, but I'll take those over most other bad weather any day.
|
Well, since tornadoes can happen anywhere, there's no point in trying to avoid them. Really there isn't. It's not like a hurricane or an earthquake. You can avoid damage from earthquakes by being careful not to live anywhere near fault lines. I live near Kansas City, so we're mostly safe from earthquakes. Not totally, but mostly.
There was actually an earthquake in my city once when I was young. Over a decade ago. I was actually in a truck driven by a friend of the family and we were driving over the area as it began to shake. It was nothing big at all, just a little freaky. But I loved it. =D Tornado Alley doesn't mean much these days, I'm afraid. Because there are tornadoes all over the freaking place these days. There's no way to avoid them. Believe it or not, I feel safer in Tornado Alley where we expect them than somewhere that doesn't expect them. However, I completely agree with the being stupid to live near hurricanes (and like I mentioned earlier, wildfires) because even though you expect them, they're so much worse than tornadoes and it's just stupid to put yourself in a place like that. Besides, we haven't been hit yet. My theory of it is that everyone who hides in their basements are going to lose their houses, while the people who are like, "Meh," and stay up in their house and continue about as though nothing will happen are safe. I've developed this theory with evidence, believe it or not. I call it, "Tornadic Karma," and I'm actually working on a stupid little webcomic based completely on living in area with severe weather. @Sonarius: Where did you used to live? o.O Edit: Hail doesn't scare me. I've actually gone outside to play in the hail when it was golf-ball sized once. It was fun, minus a few bumps on the head. X3 |
