Cricket, I feel sorry for that encounter. What I can really advise or suggest is... IGNORE them. Get on with your life, let them scold and call all they want until they get their own bad reputation.

I find getting off the computer, taking a nice shower/bath, and going outside for a little fresh air helps alliviate any harsh feelings towards the net. Tehy can't get you in your yard (or in my case, my apartments courtyard), and the trees and grass aren't going to mock you. Or the concrete... unless you want to try defying gravity. THEN it will mock you. Painfully. XD

I have extreme allergies right now. I can't really go outside. Besides, I have to deal with retarded asinine teenagers when I go outside. And the stupid neighbors down the street ILLEGALLY DRIVING THEIR ATV UP AND DOWN THE STREET EVEN THOUGH IT'S ILLEGAL TO DRIVE THOSE ON THE ROAD AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT IT HURTS MY SENSITIVE EARS!!!

I'm sorry, but I'd rather not go outside. The only times worth going outside is when I'm taking pictures, or when I'm going swimming. Other than that, the outdoors suck and I'd rather just lay in my bed.

I've pretty much given up on humanity/the world around me.

Yeah, it gets like that, until you move and find where your supposed to be. *gets bad flashbacks of booney-ville, Nova Scotia*... *shudders*

Library then? No flowers inside the library.. and annoying teenagers usually steer clear of those place like the plague.

Cricket, what happened to you on that other site is utter bullcrap. Like everyone else has said, too many people online use their annonimity to justify being asshats. People want attention and can't stand someone else taking up that attention. I can't blame you for being so jaded by people due to crap like this, and hope that you can put it behind you sooner rather than later.

I've had a lot of bad experiences that have left me jaded about a ton of things.

And I can't go to our library. It's small and there's mold there. I'm asthmatic and it gets hard to breathe.

*wraps you in bubblewrap* comic book stores then? Meh... well... I don't know. I've always been one to try and spend my time outside when the weather is good. Then again I didn't have the internet until I was 13, so that was my only choice anyhow, since I raided the library's clean fairly quickly.

... Note.... a lot of adult books suck for story development. Then again I despise romance novels or the like... so a lot of adult fiction just fly's right over my head.

My gods people! I got internet when I was 20! And it was only good when I was at school--at home I had dial-up and wasn't' allowed to tie up the phone line till 10pm! That was 8 years ago, and my dad didn't get DSL until about a year and a half ago.

XD yes well, compared to many that are plopped infront of a computer instead of a telivision so mommy and daddy can f-off and not develop an actual relationship with their child these days.....

I got the internet almost five years ago. Dial up. AOL 7.0 and I stayed online as much as humanely possible. My record was five days straight with no sleep. I surprised I didn't die.

My health (which was never good) has deteriorated since then, and now I can only pull off three and a half days.

Oh yes, and I've been awake for twenty-four hours now. >.<

That might be why it keeps deteriorating. Sleep is essentail to the human body. Buuuuut meh. Do as you will.

And actually, I've had the sleeping problem ever since I was little. I have really bad insomnia. Sometimes it goes away for a couple weeks, but rarely.

Plus, I have a weak immune system. I was born that way.

Insane Cricket: You need to go get some sleep, ... thats too long ... (or wait .. what am I saying? I stay up all night too sometimes ... -_-') ... Ive left my computer on that long as well but I was not on it the whole time ... Like my main computer it's been on for a few weeks so far ... But I never go on it unless I need to change something in the router or check on something else that I don't have on my laptop ...

I didn't get the internet until I was in highschool ... Like freshman year ... Once I got really into it I started to teach myself how to build web sites and then I took classes to learn more ... Back then I was fascinated about how websites were made and I wanted to learn how to do it myself ... Then after I learned so much I got bored of it ... kinda ...

I get infusions of IVIG every four weeks to boost my immune system. I refuse to take sleeping aids. There are very few medications I will ever take because I'm anti-medication. I don't need to be told what's proven or not proven, and what is and what isn't healthy for me.

I'm not an idiot, you know. I know a ton of things, but that doesn't mean I'll follow them. Besides, without help of sleep aids, insomnia is a real bitch. But I won't take them. End of story. Let's move on.
