I have more experience with music, having played piano for a good portion of my years.
I guess it's just that when I was making my choice, music seemed so less appealing.

Apparently he's part of these group of people who believe a god created a world but does not believe that the god did anything.

My family's Buddhist.
I guess I'm Buddhist~ish, but I go to a Christian club at school.
And even then I find that I don't call upon God, whichever one I happen to believe in, unless I'm in a dire situation.

Just to keep you all a little updated, I'm probably going to drop off the face of the Earth for the next few days. Right now, I'm just physically and mentally exhausted by real life stuff. I can't really handle anything right now. I don't know how long I'll be gone but I just need a break.

The group which included our (US...) nation's founding fathers, I believe, called Deists. Although your friend may not call himself such.
