also Most think that a good lunch is whatever is quickest and easiest to make. In my opinion, a tasty, delicious lunch takes some effort. Not too much however, because that kind of effort should be reserved for dinner or breakfast. The most delicious lunch is one that combines interesting tastes and textures together in some simplistic form. The favorite of mine, and of Elvis Presley, is the banana and peanut butter sandwich. This is best accompanied by either plain white milk, or chocolate milk. The whole process though is a complex set of steps, but once you know them, are quite simple and become habit fairly quickly and easily! The first of several steps to making a perfect lunch, is getting out the different tools and equipment you'll need. Get our your toaster, white bread, plates and cups, knives and a spoon, peanut butter, one or two bananas, chocolate syrup and some milk. If you keep the peanut butter in the fridge (though with most brands you don't have to even after opening!), I highly recommend taking it out sooner rather than later, it makes it easier to spread. If this is your first time using this toaster, I suggest you practice first with one slice of bread on a low-ish setting. If it's too dark, or too light, next time you can alter it. If you are still unsure, as long as you don't burn the bread, you can always just put it back in the toaster for a little bit longer (you just have to watch it yourself this time). Once you have conquered the toaster, start spreading the peanut butter. But be careful, this part is messy! Get a huge glob of peanut butter onto your knife, I personally prefer regular peanut butter to crunchy for this sandwich. Spread it, slowly and carefully, be sure to not stab into or rip the bread apart. Toasting it makes the bread dryer so less likely to tear, but the warmer the peanut butter is, the smoother it spreads, which makes the whole process easier. After you've done that, peel the first banana. Slice it carefully. Don't make the slices too thick or too thin. If you like thicker sandwiches, I say cut them about as thick as your index finger (unless you have thin hands like I do, and then maybe your thumb). If you like your sandwiches thinner, aim for a little thinner than that. Now that you've done that, press each piece of banana into the peanut butter. If there is still a lot of peanut butter showing up through the bananas, or you just really like bananas, you can cut the second banana and carefully place those. Now, position that second slice of bread, carefully! Make sure the edges line up. Then squish! Press the two slices together a little. If the peanut butter or bananas ooze out the sides only a little, you've done it all right. Take your knife, wipe off the peanut butter or banana that may be left on it, and cut the sandwich carefully. I prefer the straight across half-cut, but another popular one is the diagonal half-cut. But don't cut it more than in half. Cut the pieces too small and it's difficult to keep all the filling in! After you've cut it into a decent half to your liking, place it on the plate, and grab your milk. I personally prefer 1% milk. It's not too thick and slimy like whole milk is, but it isn't fully like water like skim milk is. 2% milk is fine if you must, but like I said, 1% is my preference. Pour the milk. You can either keep it plain white milk, or mix some chocolatey syrup right in. How much chocolate syrup you put in, is your preference, I like to go a little overboard sometimes. I love chocolate too much, I fear. So, once you've decided your milk type and chocolate dosage, time to mix. Take your spoon, and mix it, carefully. If you've got a clear glass or cup, check the bottom for the chocolate syrup, make sure to get it all. |
I want chocolate but not aloud on my diet, sooo sad!
I like St.Patty's day ok. I don't like beer and I don't like whiskey, but it's a damn nice excuse to get drunk. Sadly, I will still be on my diet so I can no drink this year. |
Can I has feedback? ; o;
I'm writing it for a report. |
@ monstahh ~ That report is for school? I guess a fave food report then?
Anywho, I don't think its too bad. Except: Knifes = knives is the correct plural and what is mucusy? |
Mucus.
you know, like snot. And, thanks. I was just doing a quick write up in FF. There are a lot of errors, I know. It's only a rough draft anyway. also, no, it's a "process analysis essay". Edit: Corrected a few things quickly. :3 |
Ah, I see. xD
I don't think mucusy was a word. But yeah, talking about schoolwork, I've got two tests tomorrow and I'm crazy sleepy already. So I should go do work. |
Bleck. that's the only bit of work I've done today. At all. Not even in class.
|
I've got 2 tests tomorrow, and a Japanese oral exam on Monday.
So I should do something. Though I'm having quite the trouble to motivate myself. Bleh. >.< *yawn* I'd prefer a nap at this point. |
Hello :).
|
I can never find motivation to do school work. >.<
|
Yeah, me too.
|
Oh crap, I didn't realize you wrote that for feedback. I thought it just had to do with what everyone was talking about food.
I think i might be going back to school. It's been over a month and can't get a job, for some gawd awful reason, so I suppose it's student loan time and beauty school. At least I got the talent for it. |
Well, good luck Akasha.
|
Good luck with going back to school Akasha! ^^
I need to get better @ school, period. That, and get to bed earlier. I think I'm just too worried about all the tests I gotta take today >.<; |
Aw...
I need to get better at school as well, and also get to bed earlier. I started out all right but I've been falling behind a bit with my bedtimes... |
Good luck to Akasha for beauty school and IRK3n for those tests.
Dae has a long list of things to do... Probably will not be on Menewsha for the rest of the day. ;_; -goes on epic "finish the list" quest- |
