Hello there, Lazarous. I saw you lurking in the Cricket Cult thread. ^_^ It's currently only open to crickets until I finish setting up. I hope you understand. ^_^

-Waves to Dae- I'm looking forward to our thread in September. Should we make one for our half-birthday as well?

AkashaHeartilly 03-04-2009 01:11 AM

Um, moose poop and blood money? What did I just walk into?

Yeah, not even remotely like that in the States. I couldn't afford to go drinking even if it was legal for me to drink or I wanted to go drinking.

Steampunk age...? O.o

Abbi: I'm too fidgety. I move so much that people who sit around me in theatres get annoyed with me... ^^;

I move my legs a lot when I'm in theaters or watching movies.

The same goes for money. Except that's made on blood.

Yeah, you need to start a public movement to convince the government that education is an investment.

You know, after the apocalypse.

Hm, I'm afraid you'll have to elaborate on that blood part.

I'm not really a public movement kind of person. I'm more like "if other people want to do it, so be it. I can survive the current way."

Oh.... >.>

If you really want to do so. I'm too lazy to plan a thread. xD

Do you really want to know?

I remember I was sitting through brother #1's college graduation and my dad flipped at me to stop moving my legs.... -.-;

AkashaHeartilly 03-04-2009 03:24 AM

I kind of do, it has my curiosity peaked!

secretdae007 03-04-2009 03:28 AM

Akasha: Well, Lazarous was telling me about how a man was selling moose milk for €300/liter in Sweden. And that went on to how the same man sells moose poop paper and how he prints dollar bills with the poop...

As for the blood money, I have no clue but in my opinion, all money gets bloody at some point.

Insane Cricket 03-04-2009 03:39 AM

I agree about the bloody money comment. Both figuratively and literally.

secretdae007 03-04-2009 03:40 AM

For some reason, my mind has gone in the direction of mobs with the conversation/explanation...

Insane Cricket 03-04-2009 07:26 AM

I was thinking of mobs and hired killers and such. And those who were killed for their money in robberies and such.

Lazarous 03-04-2009 11:57 AM

I was thinking big business and all that. Generally, money does not come to be in a good way - it comes from making people in debt - and then possibly bankrupt.

@ Cricket: Actually, the whole thing struck me as really interesting. Once the thread was open I was going to ask if I could reserve 'Lazer Cricket' (Or would that be 'Laser' on account of the literacy requirement?). I don't have enough gold to clothe and feed a cricket, atm.

secretdae007 03-04-2009 04:08 PM

Le Cricket: And drug dealers. Can't forget those.

Lazarous: But you can't get rid of big business, so to me, that naturally wouldn't come to mind.

monstahh` 03-04-2009 04:14 PM

Hahahha.

Poor dae.

Also, this is for my own uses. Click it if you want, but I really just need the link so I can read this comic at home since they just blocked it at school. xDD

xDDDD!!!!

Also, MOOKIE HAS THE CUTEST KITTIES OMG I LOVE HIM.

secretdae007 03-04-2009 04:25 PM

I actually have been reading Dominic Deegan for about a few years now. It's on my list of regular webcomics. <3

Youn 03-04-2009 04:30 PM

*Lurks*
Hello thread killers!
Just popping in for a quick visit. Job searching takes far more time than it should. <.<

I hope everyone is feeling well. :3 <3

secretdae007 03-04-2009 04:33 PM

Aw, poor Youn. D; I really do hope you find a job soon.

monstahh` 03-04-2009 04:36 PM

I stopped reading it for a while when mookie stopped updating it so often. )':

I ALMOST MET MOOKIE. ; o;

If I got to another con and he's there.
I'm making him draw me arts of Luna and Dominic being all cuddly. <3~

> w< ~~~

secretdae007 03-04-2009 04:40 PM

I'm been pretty consistent with reading it since the start. Even back around when Dominic Deegan first was becoming known, Mookie updated more frequently than the other webcomics I read at the time. It's probably one of the few I've read consistently over the years, actually.

monstahh` 03-04-2009 04:41 PM

I love it.

Also. NOOOOOOOOOO. but YAAAAAAAAAY.
I'm all caught up.

Now just to catch up on QC and Sequential arts. D:

On another note. I'm liking this new story arc so far.
A couple of the previous ones were kinda... Eh. ;P

secretdae007 03-04-2009 04:57 PM

QC is amusing. xD Another one that I've been keeping up with for a while.

I really have to go through Dominic Deegan again though. I haven't looked through some of the older stuff in a looooong time.

monstahh` 03-04-2009 05:03 PM

Yeah. I was just finished re-reading it. That's another reason why I stopped for a while. xD Too much dominic deegan in just a week.

Hahahaha~

Anyway. I think i'm going to go get lunch now.

Seeya!
*Hugs.*

Lazarous 03-04-2009 05:08 PM

Questionable Content is one of my favourite webcomics ever. Gunnerkrigg Court is good too - and Girl Genius.

As for consistent updating; Schlock Mercenary has been updating daily - without fail or filler - since 2000.

monstahh` 03-04-2009 05:10 PM

Quick comment - I miss Spark. )':

AkashaHeartilly 03-05-2009 01:33 AM

There is only about one web comic I read right now, which is Something Positive. One of my friends named his son after the main character, who even has a comic dedicated to him for his birth,. The boy is about 4 now.

secretdae007 03-05-2009 03:11 AM

Lazarous: Mookie has been super good about updating for the past one and a half years or so. He was updating seven days a week last year. O.o Now he's down to five but I'm good with that. ^^

Akasha: I use to read that a long time ago. I tried to reread through it a few months back but just couldn't get through it all. Something Positive has been going on forever. xD

AkashaHeartilly 03-05-2009 03:27 AM

It has, it took me like 2 years to get caught up.

I usually don't read it for a few months, and then I get to read a nice large chunk at one time when I do go back, cause I'm impatient.

I was reading VG cats for a long time, but he doesn't seem to update as much as he use too. Like it was over a year since i last read, and when I went back, there waasn;t a lot updated.
