just been buying dolls as I can. Never played the fame star thing. Right now, I'm working on getting a Ren doll. <3

I think those dolls are cute but I haven't bothered with trying to actually get one... questing is too hard haha.

I do like them though, as well as a lot of evolving items.

Questing is difficult, I never donate to avatar sites. It's strictly to keep myself from accidentally over-spending. This is one of the reasons I love sites with lots of games on them, they help me pass the time when I'm not job searching and earn some virtual money at the same time. :3

Yeah I don't donate either, for pretty much the same reason... cause I'm on *so* many sites.

Well, I actually already have a few. I have accumulated a few worth while items that I sold to get art. I've squandered most of it though. Now I'm saving for more dolls. <3

When I had a disposable income, I had no problem spending it on my avy sites cause they made me happy. If anything else, that money would of gone to booze or a restaurant. So it's all good to me.

Since moving, I haven't had any money and I'm horrible at questing. Granted when I last quested on Gaia was for an 03 item and took me 3 years to get. If I still had all that gold, I'd be buying the new items.

I save my money for music and music related items, or maybe a movie or something.

Back where i lived, I had a hard time getting the music I wanted and had to save for trips to Amoeba Records. Movies are nice, but if it's at a theater, it's usually one shot thing and expensive.

At least i get more long term use out of my pixels. They make me happy and pay to keep my friends working.

All the money goes to college now. I really don't spend too much outside of that. My mom will sometimes give me money before I leave home for school to spend on stuff. Even then, it will sit in my wallet for months before I even think about using it.

Yeah I try to save up for a while too... just saying when I have extra money that's what it goes to.

Sadly, I haven't had too much extra cash to spare since basically I started working.

I know but we were just talking about what we do with spare cash :P. I prefer to spend it on CDs and DVDs and whatnot than avatar sites.

I have friends that work at places like Gaia and well not so much anymore, the ones that are left, I kind of like supporting them and having them keep a job. And as I said, it makes me happy, it keeps the places running, and I enjoy my shiny new pixels. At least it's not going towards something horrible like WoW.

I love my Gaia's and I hate how it gets bashed on all the time.
Mostly Gaia's problems stem for poor marketing management who really don't understand the users, with Dri gone, it's a bit worse, but ti was expected she would be gotten rid of at some point, and Chris being gone is horrible cause there is now very little user interaction, and he also loved his job.

When I get money again, i plan on buying a cash card. I love supporting my friends.

Well I don't know who you're talking about but I think a lot of the complaints are also about the user base . Which is admittedly very hard to deal with. But I think the people there aren't any worse than your average group of people, it's just that they're more encouraged to put their bad sides all out in the open.

I'll be honest, I've never really interacted much with the people who run Gaia. I really only talk to a few people on there now-a-days. I just can't seem to be active like I once was. But it does bother me when people bash Gaia because I feel like the reasons are never justified.

Same here Dae. Most the reasons seemed to be they did omething stupid and got banned. I mean, I have some issues with what they were doing for money but they were doing that because they didn't have money.

I've gotten to know a few more when I moved to the bay area and with going to cons.

Because I feel like no one outside of this thread really cares for me. Plus I'm piss poor here and I hate that feeling.

I know the feeling. I only stick to like 3 threads on here, and barely anyone posts in them but this. The 21+ one does have people posting in it, but it seems to move to quick sometimes or other than Thoth I get ignored.

Know the pain, not to mention, it's so hard to find a seller for them. Most people are wanting them but so few sellers, it's so much to get enough gold to be able to buy them.
