Umm i used to read alot more than I do now, i won some battle of the books medals in elementary school. I like animal crossing on the wii and harvest moon games. I sew and quilt and Soon star trek deep space 9 will come on.
I never saw that movie but i was disapointed when i learned that melody didn't sing everything she said in it

I used to read more than I used to as well. Though actually I read a lot of manga these days, if that counts.
I have animal crossing for the gamecube, I know I'm old school. D:

I had an interview today, I think it went well, if anything, it's of a part time job at a movie theater, I hope to get it.

HURRAY! DAE IS FREE FROM EVIL CLASSES FOR THE SUMMER! <3 I've missed this place. ;_; This week has just been so stressful but I'm glad I can finally be back on.

Insane Cricket: Oops, it's supposed to be Walpurgis night (we call it Valborg so I wasn't sure of the correct English term). It's a very old celebration which takes place on the 30th of April every year.

We celebrate it in Sweden by lighting bonfires and setting off fireworks. It's an old tradition which is meant to scare away evil spirits and the ghosts of the dead and prepare for spring's return. At the same time, we collect a lot of old leaves and branches for the bonfires in as a kind of garden spring cleaning.

It is also the days when a lot of students (high school level) have a ceremony in school and wear their student caps for the first time (graduation will be in the beginning of June) and party.

Basically, it's a big excuse for people to get wasted and satisfy their (eventual) pyromanic tendencies. After walpurgis night, people aren't allowed to freely light big fires in their gardens anymore to burn old leaves and such due to the fire risk. The prohibition is lifted in fall, the date sometimes differenting slightly from province to province.

That almost sounds like my kind of holiday! Well, not the getting wasted part so much as the fire part... xD

The bonfires are beautiful and sometimes there's even student choires. Though they have become more and more rare over the years.

And 1st of May is always a day off (by tradition it's so that workers can have the day off to walk in processes of demonstration), which is good if you get home late. ;D
