Haha, that would put more work on them! -rolls eyes- Some professors could care less, hence why they are professors and not teachers.
|
Well then they should get you to do your availability and then find your own groups with the info:XD
Yes i hate how you have to go to school to learn to teach for highschool teaching but profs never have to take any teaching courses |
Hello! Sorry to interrupt the conversation. I just wanted to shed a little light on a serious concern. Corruption is a very serious accusation and the staff on Menewsha would not allow that.
If any user has a complaint, then they are strongly encouraged to pm and discuss their concerns with a staff member. Here is the staff list. I would even advocate going to another staff member if there was a serious concern about my actions. All of the staff care about the well-being of this site. If we didn't, we wouldn't spend countless amount of hours trying to make it a wonderful experience for our users. If there was a concern and you didn't see the "results" that you would have liked, then that is unfortunate. All cases are reviewed and discussed. The consequences are between the user and the staff. It is not public knowledge about how an issue was dealt with, unless the user reveals it on their own. Finally, it is understandable if you dislike a person. If a person isn't your cup of tea, then that is just the name of the game. Also, if you do have a personal issue with a staff member it is detrimental to other users by making them feel that staff member is unapproachable. The most important thing is that the users understand that we want them to come to any of us about concerns that they have. We really aren't a terrible bunch of villains waiting to smite you all into oblivion. ^-^ |
Yes please no smite-ing :sweat::D
And thank you for the information |
Thulhu: Hm, I think everything is really a matter of time constraints. My marketing class next fall is only 50 minutes, 3 days a week. Basically, he has groups work on a project the entire semester and I think most of it is done outside of the class.
And I feel like higher education should be more independent, so I don't have problems with them not having a teaching degree. I do have a problem if they put information on their tests that I can't get because either s/he doesn't give it to us or it is not in the book. Snowflower: That's fine. ^^ Thank you for the information. I found it enlightening and I'll be sure to mention to the people in the conversation concerning the above issue your post. And yes, smiting is very nice. xD |
Yes tests are the worst but i havn't had a prof like that yet but I've heard of alot of them, mostly in science and buisness
|
Well, the reason lots of business professors tend to be bad at the whole test business is because they are usually adjunct [AKA this is just a side job]. Or they pick a book with nothing they actually want us to know. Such a hassle, in all honesty.
I'm considering may starting to read my marketing book now, since I have it. |
Yeah only one book for my economic classes is in so far and it's sitting there in it's plastic wrap because I'm not sure if I'm going to go through with it or not. i haven't taken econ before
|
Economics classes definitely depend on the professor. As a business major, I had to take macroeconomics and microeconomics.
Micro was super hard but I also had an insane professor. His English was pretty choppy and his way of explaining everything was just overtly complicated. That and he didn't adhere to his schedule at all. We only got through 5-6 chapters of the book. Macro was a little easier but the professor was definitely tough. She, however, gave us more assignments and we had a better idea of what was actually going to be on the test. I found her class to be useful because she used the information in the context of real life situations. I only have my marketing book because my one friend took the class this past semester and sold it to me on the last day of finals. |
I always get my books early I can't stand waiting in line :XP
I have to take 1st year micro and macro in order to switch to PPE as my major, which is a joint philosophy, poli sci and econ major. Though my focus will be on polisci. It's summer semester though so I have like 3 days after class starts to change my mind and get my money back |
Snowflower - I didn't specifically accuse any staff. I don't intend on it. I just think that cases are treated too personally (I understand a case-by-case basis but...) someone that has more mod friends, or more friends here in general, gets special treatment especially in cases of flaming/harassment.
I still feel that Bartuc is too immature to be staff. And that is my opinion. I have already expressed it (when he was still a "trial" moderator, too) and it was rejected, so. I really don't feel like opening up that can of worms. I just reserve the right to express my dislike of someone/something. Though, I will open it a bit. Everyone in that thread agreed with me, many chimed in, too. I dare you to warn all of them too. Finally. I don't expect you to smite me. I'm un-smite-able. I'm just too cute. :cute-face: |
:XD
Well that's a cute new avi :yes: Hai! |
Thank you Thu.
I don't have many other colors. u.u |
I like the order armor with the head wings. Normally I think head winds*(<spelling mistake) are kind of silly but that works. Now i want headwings :XD
|
headwinds. x3
*gigglesnort.* |
Head winds are silly... always...blowing and ....:ninja:.... stuff
|
Thulhu: They don't have our books available until the week before classes. Very bothersome, if you ask me. Usually, I just e-mail the professors and order them online from where ever I can get them cheapest. Buying books from the university is so expensive. ;_;
-pokes le Abbi- |
Oh yes my book was $100 and is thin :gonk:
|
And that is why I e-mail my professors ahead of time and buy the books online. The one issue I have with my school is that most of the professors don't post their books online save for a few departments. I think part of that is so that we buy from the school book store. -_-;
|
Yes we have a student-run used book store downstairs but they sell out quickly
|
Yeah, we don't have anything like that on campus. The best thing we have is a van that comes around and buys our books at the end of the semester for a little more than the book store will buy them back for... Well, sometimes they compete for how much they'll buy the book back for. xD Every dollar counts!
|
yeah i hate selling a book and they offer like 70cents and i'm like :stare:... i think i'll just keep it
|
Well, if they ask for so little, I'll try and sell it online. We have a little market of sorts in our school's system that we can use to sell stuff.
|
That's fancy. We need something like that
|
Well, we have this thing where we log into an account and you can do a variety of things. You can post in the market or you can go to your e-mail or play some games.
