Macs are expensive and don't have a payment plan. -_-; Otherwise I'd probably get one.

Right now, I need to convince my brother he needs to start looking into buying a laptop for school. Of course, I should also tell him to cut back on the spending on freaking food too...

I think I'm going to see if I can wait till Windows 7 comes out before getting a laptop. My desktop is ok for what I need it to do.

They have payment plans here for students. o.o

Abbi: My family can't afford that kind of stuff. And I would never want my parents to buy me one because it is a lot of money and I don't think I'd appreciate it as much if they just bought me one. Yeah, I see so many people who get anything they want and they just don't appreciate it, in my opinion. I work hard for my money and feel like I've earned whatever I buy with it. Of course, most of it is going to college right now, so I try and keep the spending low.

They must have realized it recently that many PC makers and such have been having payment plans and such. I swear that they did not have that plan before... But even still, I think I'm going to wait till Windows 7 comes out and probably get a PC. I can do macs but eh... Not really my preferred operating system.

I wish they were giving it a better name than Windows 7 though. I liked the earlier code names for it though.

I wasn't implying that you didn't work hard! O.o; I'm just saying that I think it's more satisfying when you work for it. xD

Hm, I can't help it really. I've grown up on PCs. I was formally educated on PCs! My big issue with macs is that if it is out of date, it's hard to do anything with the internet on it...

Well I grew up on pc's as well. And macs are definitely different then they were a few years ago. I use firefox for the internet Im not sure what you mean about things being out of date. I get an update every couple of weeks, they install in about a minute, and never cause any problems.
Maybe you can go to an apple store and they can show you the features.
It's a bit hard to get used to the changes at first but I'm super happy.
To each her own though I'm just a big mac advocate. Plus those "PC" and "Mac" commercials are so funny :XD

Well, last year, my sister-in-law gave me a mac OS [I don't remember which version] and none of the internet browsers could be updated. Every time I tried to update the browsers, they said they weren't compatible with the OS I was using. And of course, the browsers were so old that I couldn't see half the sites I wanted to see. Thankfully, the family was getting a new computer at home and I could bring our old PC desktop to school.

I like those commercials too. <3
