Moms can be different but in general, they like to know what is going on in their kid's life. Also, there are a lot of factors can change how much information a parent wants to know. Like if someone is an only child versus one among many xD

And I don't mean talk about you all the time. I mean, he should throw in a few things every once in a while. Just a bit of information so that she doesn't feel completely out of the loop.

She's got two kids, Arie's the older of them. He's not much of a talker though, so I doubt he tells her anything about us. xD Just like how I don't really tell my mom much about us either. It's just kind of freaked me out how in the face she is about wanting to get to know me, so I've just been that much more distant.

Hm... There are really too many reasons to go through them all as to why she's been so in your face.

Distancing may not be the best way to go about it, in my opinion, though. I mean, maybe you should try getting to know her a little but at your own pace.

Bah, it's cool. You don't need to go through them.

We haven't really been dating that long though. I don't see it necessary for us to have a friendship yet.. it's not like her son and I are getting married. If it gets more serious within many months to come, then yeah I can see why she'd want to get to know me. But we're just kids.

I'm still sore from the first dip in the pool earlier this week. (We put up an above-ground pool last weekend- how very White-Trash of us, huh? LOL).
Not only was the water only about 75F (which is butt-ass cold for people who live in the stupid desert), but like always with any exercise, I over did it :( We were only in the pool for up to 45 minutes- but I was walking around and swinging my arms in the water the whole time (to stay warm more than to get any exercise >.< LOL)... but it was too much. I've spend the last several days in bed.

I spent so much time online during the Phoenix Orchid Event that I was stuck in bed for a week recovering. It sucked x_x

Word to the wise: Don't ever get a chronic, debilitating pain and fatigue illness. You won't like it :rofl:

As for any pool is better than no pool- you got that right, bay-bee! I don't have a problem with having an above ground pool- it's just that when I was a kid, there was a stigma of it being a "trailer trash" pool.
Whatever- it holds water, I can swim in it, and it beats sitting in a house that is over 100F at midnight (yes, ladies and gentlemen of the Thread Killers, Phoenix, Arizona, USA stays that hot at night thanks to all the lovely infrastructure {concrete and black-top hold in a LOT of head :x }).
The only thing I'm bummed about is that it is only 48 inches tall, and we are in a house on the corner with a major street going past us- so no skinny dipping (nothing skinny about met, yet,... that's what the pool exercise is for ^_^ LOL... but I hate wearing a swimsuit ~sulk~ ).

And, as for feeling better- I will start feeling better just about in time for me to take my weekly dose of Methotrexate (the chemotherapy drug I take for the Sjogren's Syndrome- the other illness I have).
So, I guestimate that I'll be back to semi-normal by this next Wednesday XD LOL.

Oh, and Secret: the blame the 'rents thing, that always works >.< They can't contest it :P ROFL

One last question... what ever happened to our Super Hero/ Villain thing we Thread Killers were going to do?

Maybe there could be a point system with rewards? Not sure for what... Maybe heroes and villains try to counter each other with posting in/attempting to kill the thread? For every villain who posts after a hero, he/she will gain a point and vice versa. And if the thread dies for more than 24 hours, the "world" explodes and all points will be re-set for every team?
