Pixar does good work, even thought I'm not a crazy fan.
Also, right after I started writing this, an ad for Up started playing on the telly. |
Haha, that's funny.
It's so cute though :gonk:. But I've always been a fan of Pixar since they came out with Toy Story when I was like... five. Haha. My dad likes the fact that Steve Jobs is involved with them . Which was made apparent in Wall•E when he had the Mac startup chime . |
Pixar does good stuff, though personally I prefer Dreamworks when it comes to American animation studios. Flushed Away could easily been a horrible movie, but it manages to be cliche without feeling cliche.
I never really pay attention to the who behind movies. xD I mean, I recognized well known companies but I never really think "I like Pixar movies" or "I generally prefer Dreamworks movies."
Look at this awesome new art I just got:

Oooo, super cute, Abbi. ^_^ Dae is currently wandering the Gaia freebie threads. xD
Well, if you want to pay for art, I can send you to my friend who did that little bit for me. <3
lol I only got it free because I promised to promote him, so don't mind me. lol |
Haha, I like some Dreamworks mvoies, but... they have a little less... power for me. They're a little goofier and have a little less... substance? to them.
I never used to, but I've noticed a few studios that consistently put out stuff I like, or stuff I don't like, so I pay more attention these days. It's a kind of quality control, I guess--knowing the studio helps me know what to expect from a film.
I don't pay attention to that sort of stuff at all.
I definitely pay attention and am aware of it, so yes that does affect my expectations.
Nir.... I wish I had moneys to buy threadless t-shirts.
-lurks at edge of thread while looking at pretty designs- |
Threadless t-shirts? What are they made from, saran wrap?
Haha, no, that's just the name of the brand... I guess you'd call it a brand. They have some really nifty shirts on there done by various artists. I personally like the comical ones like this.
Some of them are cool, some of them are like... ehhhh XD. But personally I like band t-shirts best of all. All the other witty type ones I think may be cute but not necessarily sometihng I would wear XD.
Meh, band t-shirts are ok but I don't want to wear one unless I've actually seen them perform live. And I've only seen one known band live and bought a t-shirt.
And now that I think about it, I probably won't get to see any local bands next semester with my night class. Dx |
Yeah, I know what you mean about band t-shirts. Honestly, I like the style of a lot of them, but if I don't like the band, well....Actually, I don't like anything with any sort of 'name' on it, generally. Though I do have a band-shirt parody with a Peanut skull on it (Peanut the puppet belonging to Jeff Dunham). And I bought that at a live performance, so...
I hope when the DVD comes out he keeps the section where the audience was finishing his lines for him XD |
Well, my issue is that there are very few band t-shirts that I would buy because I'm not usually into a band through and through. I'll like a few songs they do but then not the rest. I know if I ever got the chance, I'd definitely get a Killers shirt though. <3
I have only one band shirt currently, and actually it's a tank top from Warped Tour a few years ago. I wear it to work-out. I have one super offensive shirt that I wear to bed that I acquired from my ex, who likes offending people.
Most of my shirts are babydoll style and a nice chunk from hot topic sadly. My favorite has betty page on it. |
Oh, what does it say? I love offensive shirts! (I don't wear them, I just like seeing them)
I'm going to put this in white but:
It's a black shirt with a giant picture of Hitler on it that says 'Love him or hate him, he sure killed a lot of jews" my ex has another one with a pitcure of Hitler and it says, "What about all the good things Hitler did?" My ex is a wonderful person, he is a big burly, pure blooded native american guy that just smiles at your offend face of his shirts. |
I like Hot Topic, but sometimes I find the quality is lacking. I do like the "lip service" brand...But I have had a few shirts from them fall apart (sad).
>< Wow, that is pretty bad, even as far as offensive shirts go (though you have to admit, the first one is true...)
As a Jew, I admit, I am speechless.
My jewish friend busted up laughing when i showed him and said it was amazing. granted, he's a bad jew, in his own words.
But yeah, the first one is true. He wore the second one to see the first Hellboy movie. The cashier just stood there very shocked, and he walked off smiling. I do like the lip service brand. I've gotten some nice shrits and shoes from them. And yeah, some of the quality of hot topic is very crap. |
