I have an amazing sewing machine, and suck at making stuff because I am not good at fitting things in the end..I can follow a pattern, but after that, I am lost...

I'm lost when it comes to sewing in general... I just don't trust fast moving needles. ;_;

My Mom knows how to sew, but I haven't learned. Threading a sewing machine is complicated.

I know how to sew.

Not good at it, but I know how to.

Oh, I was hand sewing the skirt.

I know how to sew [but like Abbi, not so good] but I can. Both machine and hand. I had to learn the basics in middle school. I made myself a pair of shorts and a drawstring bag. I really preferred the cooking aspect of home economics though.

I'm not so good either, but I don't mind because it means I can make my own stuff.

Sigh, have you ever run into a comment made by someone that just makes your blood boil?

Daria: Of course but for me, it is rare. There are few things I'm remotely passionate about and the few places I go in forums usually never brings out the rage in me.

I try to avoid forums that will do that...So you'll rarely see me in the "debate" section... But this person just posted something that really made me mad....Because I AM passionate about the subject...

So I let loose a long, non-hostile rant....

Hopefully they will not be so rude in the future....

I used to spend time in those forums and I would get a lot of $$ posting int hem too, but it was so emotional for me I couldn't stand it, it wasn't productive at all so I try to avoid them completely now.

The sewing machine we have is an old one from probably the 50s. I actually think I would like to try one of those old, old ones that you use a pedal to operate.
