Kiddiss: Do you scream at games when you play too? XD
I've promised my friends to one day set up a web cam when I'm playing Mario or someting like that because I keep throwing tantrums when unexpected things happen. Plus, I fail at platform games too so it becomes even more fun to watch.

I've found that generally, women and girls have very few physical options when releasing their emotions. Rather sad, I think. But on the other hand, men or boys don't have that many options either... But punching pillows is always an option for both, thankfully.

Because I'm on a different schedule than most of my friends (and since a lot of them have moved away) I also do most of my communication online.
It's strange, I have better contact with a friend in Canada (practically daily) than with a friend who lives just a few minutes from me.

Kiddiss 06-14-2008 03:57 AM

Cool...Monstahh' is a Pokemon breeder (mainly Eevees) like me ^_^

I wish I could say that Skitty is my favourite pokemon (she is cute), but I just adore Eevee. I have little finger puppets of the first 3 evolved versions that I picked up at Comic Con San Diego in 2006. They're just so cute!!!

@Livvie: glad to make you laugh ^_^ Oh, man, I was a terror in my younger days (and I don't just mean childhood). Heh.... when I was in University and still living in the dorms and eating in the dining hall, I got really mad at a guy whilst in the dining hall (I don't even remember what he did, but it really pissed me off)... so I started chucking glass salad plates at him :P LOL

My first husband-creature gave me a full set of kitchen knives for my 23rd birthday. We had a roommate at the time, and he confronted my husband-creature with the "Are you insane?!?! You gave her a bunch of KNIVES?!?!" Heheheh.... they were both police officers, yet little ol' me scare the crap out of them when I got mad ~bats eyelashes innocently~

I did do some Anger Management stuff in my late 20's (after husband-creature #1 was out of the picture), so I don't throw stuff at people anymore... but I'm still not allowed to handle the really sharp knives >:] Kekekeke.

Oh, and even though I'm a pretty good marksman (markswoman?), I'm not allowed to buy a gun (not by state law, but by husband-creature #2's law... spoil sport :[ )

@Youn: you bet your ass I yell at the games! It's like driving in traffic... the curse words are GOING TO come out, whether you intend it or not XD

It's true that women don't have many physical options for outlets of anger (especially when they are ill like me- chronic pain and fatigue illness kinda limits how much I can lift, let alone smash). My husband-creature just bought a sledgehammer/ ax... I can barely lift the thing.
I recall my Senior year in high school, my boyfriend's parents were getting rid of an old couch, and needed to busted it up to fit in in the truck to take to the dump. I got to beat the crap out of that thing with a sledgehammer. Very therapeutic *nod*

Though I don't have the same strength, I can still "destruct" things. Bubble wrap. Bubble wrap is so much cheaper than therapy, and about as effective XD

But, video games are the best outlet. That and really loud music (good old fashioned punk/alternative stuff you guys have probably never even heard of >.<). Too bad I can't play my music whilst playing video games (I don't know how to turn the sound off on Asteroids).

Speaking of which, I'm gonna go blow some shit up then call it an early night *nod*. Like an idiot, I've been on Roli all day trying to buy some fucking Valentine's Day Roses- but sellers are being pricks, and some people *cough*Laocoons*cough* are hoarding them, waiting for the prices to inflate. I hate exchangers

'k, I'm off to blow shit up :D Wish me luck :3

Liverpool Glasgow 06-14-2008 05:31 AM

LOL!!! Jesus, woman! I'd be scared to be around you. xD

Youn 06-14-2008 12:19 PM

... Sledgehammer. <.<
Bubble wrap sounds like a good option. Also, it's not even close as dangerous if thrown.

Perhaps you could shut off the sound on the computer and then play the music on the radio? That's what I usually do when I'm playing a game with annoying sound. =3

secretdae007 06-14-2008 11:57 PM

Hm... not much of a pokemon video game fan myself. I collected the cards and my little brother had the gameboy color games red and blue but I never did anything beyond that.

I like a lot of old school games. I <3 Pacman, Mario/Duck Hunt (sadly, we don't have the gun anymore D; ), Paperboy and Zelda.

But I'm definitely into the RPGs like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts (which I'll admit, I didn't really start to appreciate it until I beat KH2 before getting anywhere in KH).

And I definitely yell at the characters a lot ^^;

Youn 06-15-2008 12:00 PM

I fail at the old style games. :XD
Timing jumps is especially difficult for me. The only old style games I'm fairly good at is Sonic the Hedgehog and... well, Tetris. (Because I'm slightly obsessed.)

I really like RPGs too but turnbased games makes me very frustrated. I'm too used to playing real-time MMORPGs by now. And I must admit, I'm a sucker for shiny graphics because I'm a very visual person.
MUDs were kind of fun, though. As long as I understood what command triggered what action.

Yelling is fun, it certainly releases a lot of frustration. But it's not always recommended when playing in the company of others...

Edit: Is it just me or are we sort of posting every 12th hour?

Angel Spirit Girl 06-16-2008 01:17 AM

Hello everyone! ^.^

Mind if I hop in?

One of my favorite video games is Sim city 3000 unlimited.

Another is tetris.

Moyra 06-16-2008 01:37 AM

Mind if i put up my feet here...and hopefully don't kill the place?
I have a horrible habit of killing threads! -sniff-
I haven't done it here yet, but in other forums...OH THE HORROR...

Anyways, hi ;D

poet`s playground 06-16-2008 05:33 AM

I used to play simcity 2000 all the time, in kids club at my elementary school XD.

Ayaji 06-16-2008 08:20 AM

I remember SimCity...I used to love building up my city just so I could wreak havoc on it via natural disasters...and godzilla.

I also liked to play Roller Coaster Tycoon and torment the park guests. I think abusing the park guests was almost as fun as designing roller coasters xD

Youn 06-16-2008 08:36 AM

There was a Godzilla in Sim City 2000? How did I miss that one? <.<
I remember Sim Earth and Roller Coaster Tycoon too!

Aah, good times, good times.

Moyra: It's traumatizing, isn't it? D:
Welcome to the thread! =3

poet`s playground 06-16-2008 08:56 AM

Well, there was a monster... not really a godzilla, though.

Youn 06-16-2008 09:28 AM

That's good enough for me. XD
I'll have to see if I can find Sim City in a drawer or somewhere... We should still have it.
Chances are it's for MAC though, so I probably won't be able to run it on my PC.

Angel Spirit Girl 06-16-2008 10:45 AM

Sim city is a really fun game, but I haven't played it in a long while.

Youn 06-16-2008 11:28 AM

Yes, me neither. It feels like ages ago.

Doh, silly me. I was thinking of Sim Earth! I just relaised we changed our Mac to PC around 1995 so it can't have been Sim City 2000. I think I must have remembered playing it with a friend.
Well, either way it's a fun game. =3

Liverpool Glasgow 06-16-2008 03:19 PM

-yawns- Gooood morning.

Youn 06-16-2008 04:11 PM

Good morning! (Or is it lunch by now?)
How are you? =3

Liverpool Glasgow 06-16-2008 04:29 PM

It's still morning time. 9:30am. xD

I'm alright. Feeling a little sickly but blah. Yourself?

Kukon 06-16-2008 04:32 PM

Hey anyone and everyone. xD

Earth_Dragon_Thoth 06-16-2008 06:08 PM

Sorry I haven't replied here in a long time everyone! Dx Real life got a good hold of me. Plus I went to Italy on the 31st of May and came back at about 2-3 AM! (3-4 AM Italian time) just check my blog for further detail if you want. I'm not in the mood to explain this all over again xD lol.

How's everyone? Did this thread by any chance die? Dx I hope not.

I regret to say that I have to look for a job (Meanie xD) and that means less online time, also I don't think anyone will mind since I don't go on this site that often Dx

How's the weather where everyone lives? Here in Iceland it's raining a little (when does it NOT rain in Iceland? Never xD lol.) and it's warm. :P

Angel Spirit Girl 06-16-2008 06:23 PM

I'm tired today.

I want a nap.

Haha, welcome to the life of a Mac user. *headdesk*.

secretdae007 06-16-2008 09:39 PM

Youn: Oh, well, with the more recent FF games and the KH games, you can play turn-based or real time ^^: That's why KH was so hard for me at first because I was use to turn-based play. Then I played FF XII and adjusted for the real time fighting

Angel Spirit Girl: I've played Sim City 3000 a little but didn't care for it ^^: But Tetris = <3

Moyra: Welcome!! And this place hasn't died yet, so let's hope it stays alive a little more!

Poet's Playground: I use to play Mavis Beacon during elementary school (during our computer class) xD I loved that game! Good to teach you how to type too ^^

Ayaji: Oh Roller Coaster Tycoon, how I made so many unfinished roller coasters and opened them to the public xD

Earth_Dragon_Thoth: Lucky xP I wish I could go to Italy...

poet`s playground 06-16-2008 09:55 PM

Cool, haha.

Your avatar right now is looking highly extravagant. You need one of those long cigarettes.

secretdae007 06-16-2008 10:32 PM

I know xD I've been in an extravagant mood as of late xD even my avies on Gaia look royal-esque ^^

Haha, I'd never get one of those anyway... I'm SUPER anti-smoking ^^:
