Hey that's cool. Yeah I wouldn't get a cigarette, either.

poet`s playground: I know! I grew up with a Mac. We changed to a PC around 1995 since almost nothing would run on the old Mac. <.<

secretdae007: I liked KH but FFXII bores me because the gambit system is too effective... I just sit there with my controller on hand, steer and dish out the occational potion or mark another target, it's almost like just sitting and watching a friend play.

Sorry for dropping off without a word yesterday, a friend came by on an unexpected (but appreciated) vistit. =3

poet`s playground 06-17-2008 05:27 AM

Oh pfft that's not much dedication. XD.

Youn 06-17-2008 07:41 AM

Hehe, I guess not. But we did have MAc for at least 6-7 years. XD
Macs are fascinating but it's a terrible hassle to make them compatible with other apparatus.
It's much simpler nowadays, though. =3

The Mac laptops are beautiful but for unfamiliar users (like me) it's easy to get lost.
(I suspect the Vista system was created to look a bit like the Mac. The menue system looks a bit alike when you open a folder. )
We use Macs for audio recoding in school. It's fab at that.

Angel Spirit Girl 06-17-2008 11:52 AM

I don't know much about computers.

We have a Dell with Vista, though.

I've always had a PC... I tried using a mac this year for school (I got it for free ^^; ) but because it was outdated, I couldn't update my internet browser D;
Oh, I find that I really like the strategy part of the FF games. I never felt like I was just watching a friend play... Though I had a friend watch me play once xD

E-machine with vista... I'm still not really fond of vista but I've adjusted to it.

Angel Spirit Girl 06-17-2008 04:06 PM

I don't do that much on our computer except surf the net at avatar forums, so as long as it surfs smoothly it little matters to me what spreadsheet program is next door to firefox on the icon page.

secretdae007 06-17-2008 08:00 PM

oh, I use a few programs and I'm the resident "expert" but most of the time I'm just surfing the net. I don't remember how to use spreadsheet actually... Last time I had to use it was for computer classes in 7th grade O.o

They're fabulous at any media-related activities, and these days there are so many ways to perform comparable functions to Windows programs for cheap or free...

I'm actually about to get a MacBook... still working out which kind, haha, but I'll be replacing my current computer- one of the new iMacs - because a laptop will be better for school. My dad will get this computer, and my sister will get his current computer... all macs, haha. the only non-macs in this household are the ones that my parents use for their work, and those are laptops...

And Vista was definitely made to look like Macs XD.

Also, the interface is really simple and pretty intuitive, as long as people play with it...

Rawrrr.

poet`s playground 06-18-2008 04:21 AM

Hi!

Rawrrrrr to you, too :P.

Youn 06-18-2008 04:51 AM

poet`s playground: Hehe, Macs and PCs - the eternal battle! :XD <3

Good morning, thread!

poet`s playground 06-18-2008 05:22 AM

Not really, I've kind of come to terms with using PCs... after ten years or so XD. But I likes Macs better cause I've been using them literally all of my life...

Youn 06-18-2008 06:37 AM

I guess it all comes down to habits or personal preferences. =3

poet`s playground 06-18-2008 06:49 AM

Yeah, and experiences. Some people have really bad experiences with one or the other...

secretdae007 06-18-2008 02:46 PM

I'm adjusted to using both because I used the computers at school a lot and quite a few of them are duel systems with both mac and PC as choices... and sometimes the Mac is up and I don't feel like switching to the PC side.

But I grew up with PCs and learned pretty much everything I know of a PC. So naturally, I choose PC over mac most of the time.

Youn 06-18-2008 03:05 PM

poet`s playground: Oh definitely! I know a lot of people (users of either) who have switched over due to bad previous experiences or because of good experiences of their first time using the system.

secretdae007: I agree.
The initial switch can be a bit confusing, though.

GOOD MORNING.

Somebody talk to me. D< I demand it!

Earth_Dragon_Thoth 06-18-2008 08:03 PM

Hello? Is anyone here?
This thread must not die! Dx It's no fun when threads die like this.
People should be here often, mainly including me
It's just that my internet gets slow when I'm on Mene Dx T_T
I don't like to wait xD lol.

AkashaHeartilly 06-18-2008 09:20 PM

I think I try and post here more often!

I've never been a big fan of macs. Never liked the layout or the mouse or rally anything about them. And almost everytime I use one, they just seem to want to crash on me.

But meh. And no, no thread dying here!

Angel Spirit Girl 06-18-2008 10:56 PM

Live, little thread, live!!!! 0.0

secretdae007 06-19-2008 03:11 AM

Ja.

I'm about to get another Mac to replace this one - not because this one is old o_o it's not even a year and it was a brand new model when I got it, it had just been released (Apple was replacing for free the previous one which had had numerous problems - which was a new phenomenon to most of the people who worked with it: numerous and repeated problems XD), but my sister is going to have it now and I'm going to get a laptop, a MacBook of some kind... hopefully with 250Gb because that's what this one has... and I can't really afford to downsize... plus I'm too lazy to try to figure out what I will and wont use xD.

Earth_Dragon_Thoth 06-19-2008 01:40 PM

*gives thread CPR* Don't die on us! Dx This thread must live. Or else we will have no home T_T
Well, it's true, sort of xD lol.
