This is true, and it is mostly the responsibility of the individual to distinguish the differences between following for the sake of following and acceptance etc, and following because of genuine interest and desire for more from something. Doing something because everyone else is doing it and you dont want to be left out, marks one as a sheep.

Posties? You mean like the mail postmen? Here in australia they ride motorcycles to deliver the letters. There was one around my parents when i was growing up who used to do jumps off peoples gutters and was clearly having as much fun as he could with the job lol!

I just call them mail people, unless I know which one came and then I say mailman or mail-lady. I'm sure Mail Lady is politically correct but it's sure funny sounding XD

The post... um, personel here are probably the only people in Sweden who drive a car made for left-hand traffic in the line of their work. It is so they are sitting on the side of the mail boxes.

Trains also have left-hand traffic now that I think of it.

Our mail couriers just walk unless they have a big parcel. the big parcels come by truck at a different time of day

Our guys use trucks. :B I live in the suburbs, so my town is spread out and full of hills.

there are like 4 post offices near me and also I'm two streets down from the place that the trucks and couriers start from in the morning. I think it's called a postal courier dispatch. But I think when they have to drive around they have two people in the truck and one walks one side of each street while the other drives the other side of the street.
this has turned out to be pretty interesting
