I don't really want to see a world war in my lifetime.

Drop Bear 11-29-2010 11:09 AM

You wont see it, youll see the censored version of it. Youll hear about the censored version of it. Youll think you know about it. But it wont be until decades, even years later, that youd begin finding out the real truths behind it.

Hell, id put money on the possibility that there are recon elements of various armies in N/Korea at the moment scouting about, not to mention unbelivable amounts of overtime work for any contacts that they have in the country at the moment.

monstahh` 11-30-2010 07:52 PM

Unfortunately, you're probably right.
But I don't want to see or hear about a censored war, either.

Drop Bear 12-01-2010 12:29 AM

We wont properly know its a censored war. Itll be like Iraq. The American govt lied about their levels of casualties and such information. Thats how itll be until well after things die down and then people start getting consciences.

monstahh` 12-01-2010 03:44 AM

I know, but...The point I'm trying to make, is I don't want to hear anything, at all, about a war, because I don't want one going on at all.

Drop Bear 12-01-2010 10:32 AM

Yeah i know what you mean. Better to avoid a war all together than have one. But the point im making is, should it happen, we wont know the truth about it for a long time.

secretdae007 12-10-2010 02:03 AM

The sooner this semester is over, the better. It has drained me.

Ling 12-13-2010 06:45 AM

Fortunately for me the summer holidays have already begun.

Drop Bear 12-13-2010 01:18 PM

Ahh congratulations LingLing! I dont really get holidays. so im thinking of taking a week off work actually between xmas and new years.

secretdae007 12-13-2010 04:25 PM

Ling: Well, I'll get 2 weeks off for winter break and then I've got to come back to school for my internship. Classes won't start till January 18th though.

Assassin_666: I kind of get breaks... I get summer and winter break from classes but I'm usually working my part time job then... So I don't know if I really consider them breaks.

Drop Bear 12-14-2010 07:21 AM

Yeah i usually tend to work 99% of state/national holidays here because they usually fall on a monday and i have to work mondays. I usually get the major ones (easter and xmas/new years) sorta off, but thats usually the day, or day after it as well, and thats it.

AkashaHeartilly 12-16-2010 10:52 PM

So, how is everyone here?
Been without stable internet, but just moved back in with family for winter break, so I will be back more. Being 26 and back with them is kind of odd, but I need to save on money. I'm also depressed and comforted by how little my home town has changed since i have been gone.

Drop Bear 12-17-2010 03:03 AM

Yeah ill get a brief experience of that myself i think when i head back to my hometown this xmas with my family too. Shall be interesting to see how the family interacts again too. Im the black sheep of the family so im the outcast, but i dont mind, means i can sit on my own and watch their interactions, which is interesting.

AkashaHeartilly 12-17-2010 04:27 AM

Not the outcast thankfully. My only complaint so far is I am hearing nothing but bad now that back and with friends, oh how 2010 has not been good to people I know.

Well, hopefully your lack of internet time will be good, if anything, download a bunch of shows now, and watch everything in off time.

Drop Bear 12-17-2010 08:03 AM

Yep, thats deffinitely the way to do it. ill throw some movies on the lappy the night before we go away so i have something to do i guess.

secretdae007 12-17-2010 08:53 PM

Finally back home but then again, it's not odd for me. What will be odd is only being here for 2 weeks as oppose to 4. I have to head back to school 2 weeks before classes start for my internship. But I'll pretty much have the apartment to myself which will either be awesome or lonely.

Drop Bear 12-17-2010 10:41 PM

Im sure youll find a way to enjoy it Dae!

secretdae007 12-18-2010 12:09 AM

Haha, well I do have a list of things I want to do before I graduate. So I guess I'll get some of those done.

Ling 12-19-2010 05:38 AM

Its hard to believe that Christmas is almost here!

AkashaHeartilly 12-19-2010 11:48 AM

Man, I haven't got to be this drunk and stuble home in a while. The shitty noodle bowl I am eating is well shitty. Also, multi-tasking while drunk on puter is hard!

secretdae007 12-19-2010 03:51 PM

Ling: I'm more excited to see my family then actual Christmas though for once. Though hopefully we will all be together for Christmas. ^_^;

Akasha: I imagine being drunk does hinder the working process. xD

Queen_Andais 12-20-2010 05:08 AM

Not sure drunk and work should be in the same sentence. Seems blasphemous some how.

I have the perfect annoying decoration for this thread, it's one of those stocking you hang on the front door and when people walk up to it the sensor goes off and a santa pops out the top and sings a christmas song, but not all the way through, just snippets of the song and generally just the chorus and it always sounds like the batteries are dying even they are brand new

Drop Bear 12-20-2010 05:20 AM

Andais, i like that idea. i should get one. Id put it next to the toilet here to scare me when i go to poop late at night lol!

Also, wouldnt it only be blasphemous if you were a religous leader of some kind?

Queen_Andais 12-20-2010 05:47 AM

Well in that case, I would be the religious leader for people who believe in drinking, but not working drunk. Call me the Green Fairy Priestess.

Drop Bear 12-20-2010 10:15 PM

Green Fairy Priestess... id possibly consider following that religion!

I agree though to the prinicple of not working when under the influence of mind altering substances.
