Well, my one job I can pretty much do from home. Which is nice but I don't really get paid for that time. And that job may be ending soon anyway.
And my other job is as a barista in a supermarket (the one with the store generator). And if I can't make it in, I call them and tell them. I'm generally in the mindset of "My life is not worth this crappy job." Thankfully, I have that kind of luxury but I know a lot of people that don't.

It varies from week to week. As a barista, I work anywhere from 16-25 hours a week. My other job is usually 14 hours.

I do some side work, basic content writing and pet sitting. What I make now is obviously not really a liveable wage where I am. So I still live with my parents.

I see. I do about the same myself. I'm under the required 3 times rent and I can't find a roommate :(

I can't imagine roommate hunting is remotely fun. Even around here though, a 2 bedroom place is around $1200 without utilities.

snowman building!
I was determined to build one the one time I did travel interstate to see the snowy mountains at a ski lodge...didn't end up skiing or snow boarding but it was an interesting sight, and I ended up building a small snowman with all features made in snow, nose, arms etc...so funny looking and tiny but yes, my first and only snowman!

I might be able to find a 2bed for about $1000 or so, but these nuts require you to have 3 times rent, aka $3000 per month inccome
I made a snowman and he got stepped on.

I've never heard of that kind of rent agreement but I also haven't seriously looked into renting a real apartment

I mean, I know at a lot of places around here want you to put down a deposit (usually 2 times the rent) and some will check stuff like credit scores but I've never heard anything based on your monthly income.

Yeah... that's the main reason I don't like living here...
But I also don't want to live near hurricanes and tornadoes D:
Unfortunately my job is local

Eh, I'm just really tired of my job. I've been there too long for the type work it is and my skill set.

It's a small supermarket chain but even if I were to get an office job, it is very much a boys club. So I wouldn't get very far... And I don't really want to move into a management position there because it really wouldn't be rewarding at all. I see how much my current manager struggles to get anything done to improve sales without any support. Right now, it's all just for the paycheck there.
