Some other animals are actually really nice to touch.
lizards have that cool scale texture. Scorpions feel like a suit of armor. Some birds are extremely soft. though yeah there's some animals you don't want to touch because they're sharp. |

On the note of touching animals rather than people. Animals are soft, sure, but I was taught by home and school to wash my hands after dealing with animals. It makes sense. They don't keep themselves clean like humans do. Should, at least. I'm not saying every person is squeaky clean and doesn't carry their own germs. Animals can't comprehend the idea of germs, soap, showering, etc. Therefore, afraid or not, I'd be just "eh" about touching animals. 'Cause then I'd have to go find somewhere to wash my hands so they'd feel right again. I'm not much of a touch person, but I'd rather touch another person than an animal. Touching people is more of a discomfort thing rather than "EW everyone is dirty." /people who let dogs lick them all over make me cringe /my momma loved her cat when she was growing up, but she was like NO LICKS |
