The Wandering Poet 03-10-2015 08:18 PM

Well... that's what I have Menewsha for... changing like the wind some days.

secretdae007 03-10-2015 08:59 PM

I am typically too lazy to change my avatar. I should probably go on Gaia and sell all the things except what's on my avatar right now.

The Wandering Poet 03-10-2015 09:00 PM

I'd do that too Dae but I'm too lazy to even do that. Especially since nothing is worth anything anymore.

secretdae007 03-11-2015 01:08 PM

I know! Honestly, that's probably why I haven't done anything either. All I would want at that point is art which was expensive before.

Amane 03-11-2015 03:02 PM

I missed the memo about why we hoard avvie art. ???

secretdae007 03-11-2015 03:30 PM

Hoarding avi art? I was just saying that once I sell most of my stuff, I would just use the gold for avi art...

Amane 03-11-2015 03:42 PM

And that's what I mean. I missed the memo about why we buy avvie art.

The Wandering Poet 03-11-2015 06:52 PM

I wouldn't know... ever since 2007 I've been friends with an artist so I got doodles all the time owo

Amane 03-12-2015 03:20 AM

I like art done out of love. I don't have a reason to request art or get it as a prize.

I've always paid for it for as long as I remember. -shrugs- I mean, I don't usually get anything super customized. Just usually my avatar. And on Gaia, art has always been in high demand. I mean, I guess I could also just give all the gold away too...

Lucky! I mean, I have artsy friends that have drawn me stuff occasionally but nothing crazy.

Amane 03-12-2015 03:22 PM

Avvie art is in high demand on every forum I join.

secretdae007 03-12-2015 03:25 PM

I'm not so sure. I don't know if it just a matter of supply but I feel like avi art, while in demand on here, isn't a big market compared to other sites.

Amane 03-12-2015 09:00 PM

In my experience, there are art sellers and buyers around every corner.

secretdae007 03-13-2015 04:45 PM

Lol, this is true. I just don't find people to be as pushy for it here or using quite as much as a source of income on Mene.

Amane 03-13-2015 09:18 PM

I see it cited as a way to get rich.

The Wandering Poet 03-13-2015 10:57 PM

I've seen people get rich with it... but you have to be talented... alas I am not talented and poetry is worthless [lol]

Amane 03-14-2015 12:08 AM

Today I learned how to use a roller. :D Hair roller, as in.

The Wandering Poet 03-14-2015 01:34 AM

Hair roller? Like those granny things that are all sorts of colors?

Amane 03-14-2015 03:08 AM

Yep, those. I used to find them lying around the house, but now nobody uses them. Momma put a roller in my hair because the curling iron wasn't doin' it, and she forgot about it, so I took it out myself to see if it was working while she was at the grocery.

The Wandering Poet 03-14-2015 03:29 AM

Oh cool So does it work?

Amane 03-14-2015 03:32 AM

It did work. Could've left it longer, but it worked. I mean, that was all they had before curling irons, you know!
/also, for straightening?
/a literal clothes iron O_O

The Wandering Poet 03-14-2015 03:35 AM

Straightening with a shirt iron?!?
This is why I tell anyone I date "just be natural for all I care" XD
That way they can skip all that weird make-over stuff if they so desire.

Amane 03-14-2015 03:41 AM

I would think you'd fry up your hair ironing it sooner than it would be straightened.
I don't think my momma ever ironed her hair. I think she'd use the stove to heat up a comb that was made to withstand that and then that would do it. We have one like that in case the electric one breaks.

The Wandering Poet 03-14-2015 04:34 AM

Interesting. I've never used anything like that so it's rather foreign to me. Most I'll do is lightly wet a comb.

Amane 03-14-2015 04:57 AM

I used to assume everyone's hair was ruined by water and they had to comb it out and straighten it every day. When I learned that wasn't true, I was displeased.
