Hair in general gets more and more difficult as it gets longer, so I'm not surprised it would be hard to maintain.

'Cause it's hard to work with, so they don't let it grow out. Also, what looks like a floppy afropuff thing is actually very long if you straighten it. After a wash, my hair is in tight spiral curls almost down to my shoulders. When straight, it almost reaches my waist.



Mine would probably turn that puffy if it weren't straightened before it could dry.

Natural Afro hair has an interesting texture and I think it can look pretty good.
