Well inzane... I do the same thing XD that's why my inbox is open.

Mountain highway? What sort of driving is that? Google isn't showing me anything of concern, as it seems to say that there is a highway there that goes straight to Bailey.

As I am a medical professional your health is not something trivial to me. And as you are also a regular of one of my threads I worry about my thread goers often.

Inzanebraned 10-11-2017 01:10 AM

The highway that goes into Bailey is US 285...mostly 2 lanes with occasional passing lanes.
From Grand Junction you would have to travel to US 50 and drive 123 miles before you would reach US 285...then it would be another 75 miles or so before you get to Bailey.
You would be travelling over the Continental Divide.
Your car is accustomed to sea level altitude and may not run well at this altitude.
I'm concerned that the risk may outweigh the benefits considering the time of year you plan to travel.

kelseydee 10-11-2017 01:25 AM

Im a poor old adventurer. I dont see me traveling far again.

The Wandering Poet 10-11-2017 01:35 AM

I see. Perhaps if I ever do a road trip during the summer sometime [yes]

Yes, perhaps!
I think that meeting you would be awesome...but if you had car trouble or a mishap while traveling out of your way to meet me I would feel pretty awful!
Maybe at another time I will have a car and we can agree to meet someplace sometime.
In the meantime I will enjoy our online friendship and your support.

Alrighty. One day sounds good to me. Maybe if I can get some stuff invented I can just hire someone to drive for me [lol]

So...what kind of things do you want to invent?

The BF used to talk about "inventing" modifications for 4x4 trucks...and it seemed to never fail that someone would come out with his ideas about 6 months after he talked about it!
Now he wants to put a snow blower on the back of his snowplow truck so he can blow snow away while reversing, then plow what was missed while going forward.
This would be convenient for the steep and narrow driveways he plows up here in the mountains because the snowblower would eliminate the need to figure out where to put the plowed snow....it would just get blown out into the trees.

I'm definitely the sort that likes a challenge. It helps the time go by and keeps me from thinking too much.

I don't mind challenges, as long as they don't involve other people [XP] I like to be kept busy more so than challenged.

I am having a terrible day today.
I don't often feel the need to tell others when I'm having a bad day, but today seems extra bad!
I woke up feeling panicked and scared and very alone!
I think living in this isolated location is starting to get to me and I worry about wintertime coming and being alone all day while the BF works.
I hope this feeling passes soon.
I can't afford to just move to a place closer to people!

We all have bad days and then bad days that are the worst of the worst. And we are all ears (or eyes I guess, since it's reading) here. So if you ever need to talk, we are here for you.

The Wandering Poet 10-11-2017 03:26 PM

Inzane - That's a clever idea. I wish him luck ^^

My ideas are very private as they are going to be very hard to fully design and patent. Basically I intend to revolutionize the self defense and medical industry.

One idea I had requested of me by my dentist was those xray things that hurt really bad but I've heard that after 30 years someone "finally made a comfortable one".

You mean the one where they put it in your mouth for targeted xrays that is so very uncomfortable? I had to do that recently

The Wandering Poet 10-11-2017 04:21 PM

Yes that one.

This seems to be the replacement. I'm not really sure if I like the approach. It could be done better I think.

secretdae007 10-11-2017 05:10 PM

I get to go for a deep cleaning in 2 weeks, so that's gonna be fun. I'm not super familiar with all the wonderful pain that is dental work. The next few months are gonna be fun......

The Wandering Poet 10-11-2017 05:27 PM

Aww... at least your teeth will be nice and clean.
Just brush and floss often.

secretdae007 10-11-2017 05:31 PM

Yeah, my issues are beyond just brushing more and flossing. Having no dental checkups/work as a child means my adult teeth are in pretty miserable shape. And we aren't talking in a superficial, they aren't perfect looking kind of way.

The Wandering Poet 10-11-2017 05:52 PM

Oh I see. Are you planning to get braces?

Lol, braces are the least of my problems. I have cavities and other probably more major issues. Basically, I have a pretty big overbite and lots of over crowding in my bottom teeth.

What complicates things is that I have one missing molar (extracted) in lower left of my teeth and will have another tooth extracted on the upper right side soon. I also still have all my wisdom teeth which are either partially or fully out.[headdesk]

The Wandering Poet 10-12-2017 05:20 PM

Ooh wisdom teeth. Good luck with that. I personally didn't need my Vicodin, but you definitely don't want to work the next day. (I did)

Inzanebraned 10-13-2017 06:37 AM

Oh my, Poet! I can only imagine what it was like trying to work while taking Vicodin!
The BF can't take Vicodin...If he does, he becomes angry and his muscles tense and he feels like he wants to punch things! I renamed Vicodin to "F*ck-it-then!" when he has had to use it...because that's the way he acted while taking it.
He avoids it at all costs now.

monstahh` 10-13-2017 02:16 PM

problems with your teeth suck :< <3
speaking from experience
get that stuff checked out and dealt with if you can
cavities can create a very good environment for infection

The Wandering Poet 10-13-2017 03:17 PM

Inzane - I didn't take my vicodin. :)
As a narcotic tech I was required to take leave if I took them.

Amane 10-15-2017 12:37 PM

Having one's body go bad at all is a really, really sad experience.

The Wandering Poet 10-15-2017 04:21 PM

We must care for our teeth and our bodies :)
It's the only one we get.

Of course eventually our cells will cease to be able to divide.
