I think gray hairs are quite beautiful, especially when it's just a few.
But I say ask the BF which he prefers of you can't decide :)

It's more a OCD-esque thing than not. I tend to get obsessed with them and want to pluck them out. I'm thinking highlights would help me not want to pull out all my hair.

I don't consider myself superficial but superficial things (grey hairs, pimples) make me have OCD-ish/hyperfocused tendencies, if that makes sense.

So basically you're more annoyed by how it breaks the pattern than the flaw itself.

Years ago, I dyed my hair to hide the grey that was coming in...
I found that the grey hairs dyed in a different shade, giving a highlights affect.
Now...I have lots of grey hair and can't afford hair dye even if I wanted to cover up the grey.
I accept that I am over 5 and a half decades old...and my hair is getting grey.

Exactly. Like if my hair all just started going grey, I don't think it would bother me as much.

My issue is that it is just sporadic grey, bordering white hairs. All of my hair is not going grey but just random ones pop in. Like if I went and got blonde highlights, it wouldn't be as noticeable (I have medium brown hair).

I should also note that I haven't even hit 30 years old yet.

Dae hasn't hit 30 yet and white hairs already?
I wonder what causes them... myth is stress.

I have had random grey hairs since I was a child.
When I was little, I pulled a sewing machine cabinet over on myself and it peeled a piece of my scalp back.
My mom just wet the area and stuck it back down and it grew back together...but it must have damaged some nerves there because I grew a few grey hairs in that area.

When I was little, my aunt used to sit in a chair and have me pluck out her grey hairs with tweezers.

I mean, I imagine it's a genetic thing? Can't really tell though cause all the women in my family have been dying their hair for so long and probably before their hair started going grey/white.

Ugh, I am trying so hard not to imagine that scalp bit. Just gives me the shivers.

Ah yeah that whole dye and makeup thing does make it hard to tell when things start.

Sadly I have a very large visual on that scalp thing... I did that to my head once... but not on the hairline.

I mean, it's fascinating how much people do to avoid "looking their age," for young and older women and men.

Yeah. I see a lot of it with younger girls too now. You see a photo of someone who could easily be 25+ and they end up being 13. It blows my mind. Then you get the people in their 60s+ who don't look a day over 30 or 40. And people wonder why I can't tell age...

I hate when people pay the guess my age game. So usually I just give them some absurd number (super high or really old).

Ah but there's a special magic trick you can do the guess their age correctly every single time, all you have to do is see their ID.

Well, at work, I have most people's birth dates. Outside of work, I don't really care and don't really play.
