I went to get registered for my course today. Classes start next week.
I hope it will be interesting this year.

Ling - Eh. I have a deep hatred for school (my home district at least).
:3 My home district refused to acknowledge my moderate-severe ADHD until mid 10th grade.
They just said, "She's just being rebellious, she could do well if she tried."
Also, my 3rd grade teacher told me that I was going to be a failure all my life and I would never amount to anything becos I am so terribly stupid.
Guess what? My IQ is above genius and I got really good scores on the SATs, WITH NO STUDYING, NO TUTOR, NO HELP AT ALL, I JUST GOT UP AND TOOK THEM. xD
Sooo.

:3 Now I go to a school that is smaller for my basic academic classes, so I know ALL my teachers really well, and they all love me becos I am sassy and funny, and I know when I can get away with pulling a stunt like that, and when I can't.

It means I get out of most homework, but my classwork and test grades are still astounding.

But to be honest, I love telling people about it, becos I beat the system! oh ho ho. XD

School starts on Monday for me... but I'm at school now for band camp -in computer lab for dinner break- I'm so tired... and don't have the internet in my room, which is really annoying... I'm definitely investing in a laptop for next semester...

My school does not start until... September something.
I don't even know what classes I am to take other than chemistry!
I also do not know what school I will be going to in the morning, and which I am to go to in the afternoon.
So, blah. : P

Oh, well I'm in college, so we tend to start a week or 2 earlier. And I picked my classes for this semester... and I still need to buy the last book >.> But I think I'm going to hold off until after my first class... stupid codes...

Does he want you to be serious about them? Or do you have any other colleges in mind? I mean, all you have to do is look into some colleges (preferably that use the common app and don't charge for online application). Heck, I applied to a college that was way beyond my financial budget AND was a "reach" school for me... but I did it to see if I could get in...

I think I'm going to apply to Cedar Crest (they have a good forensics science program) and Hofstra, and then one in Texas, and one on the west coast somewhere.

Location is fairly important for me, I don't wanna be too local, though, Hofstra is REALLY close. But, I need at least three to apply to, so, meh. : P To make him happy.

Yeah, I never had such pressures when applying to colleges ^^; The only stipulation that my mom had was that it had to be in a 4 hour driving radius.

Really, you only need to be 2+ hours away. The farther away you choose to go, the farther away from family you are. Which means that if something happens at school, you don't have anyone near by who is familiar that you may want comfort from. But then again, I guess it depends on the person in question...

I don't really like my family. And I've always been fine without them. I have never gotten home sick. Ever.
