Welcome to the Wonderland Clubhouse!

Out in the middle of the woods in the middle of nowhere was probably the last place you expected to find an underground clubhouse. Or maybe you knew it was here all along and came looking for it. But either way, it's great to have you! I am Amani, and I built this bizarre little place.

Just for future reference, there are three entrances/exits. One is in a large redwood tree where half of the roots appear to be rotted away, another behind the large waterfall, and the last in the center of a large circle of rocks and purple flowers. You can't miss them...if you know what you're looking for.

Down here, you'll be surprised to see that we have what is essentially a 24-hour nightclub, four lounge/hangout rooms, and even a music studio in the back...as well as a lot more space that is unfinished. Perhaps we'll turn that into more hangout rooms, or maybe we'll make dorms for the regulars. Who knows? ;)

In the club portion, we have all you would expect to find in a nightclub. A dance floor, a DJ booth, a stage for a band, a small bar serving non-alcoholic beverages (sorry, but the owner of the club is only 19!), and a lighting system that can change the overall look of the place in an instant.

One hangout room is built as a plastic bubble near the base of the waterfall. The plastic is bulletproof and scratchproof, so don't even think about trying anything. ;) The room is furnished in simple blues and greens, with the occasional purple here and there for variety. The waterfall exit is just upstairs from here.

Another room is furnished entirely with black and hot pink inflatable furniture, save for a few neon rope ladders that will let you climb to the ceiling, which is really more of a jungle gym than a normal ceiling. The walls and floor are well-padded; a few people have climbed all the way to the ceiling, 25 feet above, and fallen - and none have been severely injured. The walls are black with electric pink stars toward the ceiling. I'll usually be found in this room...probably up on the ceiling. ;p I'm also usually blasting JRock in here.

Yet another room is entirely purple. Various shades of purple. The room is round in shape, and the center of the floor is constantly slowly rotating. A purple crystal sculpture stands in the center of the room with light shining down on it, altering the lighting in the entire room as it rotates. This is where you will find yourself if you came from the rock circle entrance.

The fourth room was left mostly in its natural state, just...dug out. The floor is still entirely dirt, all furniture is made from stone or wood. Tree roots poke through the ceiling and add character to the walls, and hanging plants often grow from the ceiling. A small creek flows through the room near the east wall, eventually emptying into the pond at the bottom of the waterfall. This room is separated from all the others by double-doors, as it tends to get rather wet and muddy in here when it rains, and it is the room with the highest elevation. This is where the tree entrance leads.

And the studio in the back is the most "normal"-looking area of all at first glance. It was built for the musicians among us - it has a small practice room, a recording booth, and a large room full of various instruments that anyone is allowed to use. In this room is where it becomes strange yet again - roughly 90% of the stringed instruments are left-handed.
What can I say? I was tired of not being able to play the majority of the guitars I ever saw. It's my clubhouse, so I can switch things around if I want to. >3

Just beyond the studio is more area similar to the "Nature Room," only it has no entrances nor exits to or from the outside. This is where I may be expanding. It extends about two miles out, and a mile wide...so there's plenty of room to go.

And of course, I can always dig more. Digging is fun. 8D

• Revised 7/19/08: Dirt is to stay in the Nature Room and the undeveloped portions of the club. We HATE cleaning - so either DON'T track it in or clean it up yourself.
• There is to be no construction without permission.
• You must accept that everyone is a little bit mad. ;)
• There is to be no whining, emoing, bringing your little rainclouds inside...any other term you can think of for being annoying and depressing. This is a POSITIVE environment. If you don't like it, pack up and leave.
• If you want to be a bouncer, or know another job you would like, PM me. At this point I'll only accept people I've met in other places, though, on or off Mene. Eventually I will start choosing people myself based on how active they are in the club.
• NEW 7/19/08: Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, give Amani any foods containing added sugar. Seriously, it won't end well.

I know. There's not ANYTHING on TV nowadays. I only watch it on Saturday nights to see anime like Bleach, Death Note and Code Geass.

Nope, sure don't. Only new songs I've gotten is Flyleaf's new CD, Samus' theme from Super Metroid, Listen to your Heart by DHL (Wasn't that the band..?) and Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. (Don't laugh. I know it's old, but it's one of my three favorite songs.)

I want to come and see when you're done. Maybe paint a few murals in the music room. x3

What's REALLY sad is that most of the American-made shows I like enough to watch are older than I am. XD;; I still watch Get Smart every night (I am so dreading the movie...I haven't seen it yet; I'm really afraid it'll be killed by modernization, or just plain suck in comparison to the original); I love Happy Days and I Love Lucy, I watch The Twilight Zone regularly...I love those shows.
But most shows they make now...well, make me want to pour a bottle of water over my TV and smash it in with a sledgehammer. XD
One day, I'm going to take an already non-functional TV and I'm so going to do that. >w>;

I pretty much only watch what my parents leave on. XD;; That includes sports (all but the few interesting ones! :illgetu:), soap operas in Spanish (ew) and ONCE IN A WHILE something genuinely funny.

You need a Wii. You could like.. Play Wii Boxing. I tell you what. That game is FUN. You're beating the stuffing out of someone! That's so fun! xD
Or, if you wanted guns that go boom, Metroid Prime 3. You aim with the Wii Remote, move with the nunchuk. I LOVE that game.
Sucking at games doesn't matter. Especially on stuff like Spyro, or Mario or something. Smash Bros. Brawl is what you have to worry about, but it's easy to learn to play it if you had a Gamecube controller. You can set the CPUs on any level you want. One through Nine.
I can beat SOME level nines one-on-one, but I've had a LOT of practice with Smash Bros. and Smash Bros. Melee.

Hmm. As tempting as that sounds for you to do, you shouldn't. it's not worth it. xD;;

YES. My god. I practically cried for laughter when I first seriously listened to the lyrics to that song. I mean...I noticed right off that the title had a bit of wordplay involving that particular cartoon...but then when I seriously LISTENED to what he was saying...I right about died.

One of these days...when I'm not in debt...I'm so going to get all the games you recommend me. >w>;

One day I'll stop sucking. I'll get better, I swear I will. But at the moment, I've only beaten one game in my life. I can't even beat the original Sonic the Hedgehog on my cell phone. XDD;;; I'm totally stuck.

Sonic the Hedgehog?? I LOVE those games. My favorite was always Sonic Triple Trouble for the Sega gamegear. LOVE that game. |D *happy dreamy moment*

See, that's the thing, they don't make games like they used to. HARDLY any of the newer games are actually HARD and ENTERTAINING at the same time. *sigh*
That's what I like about Nintendo games. They're fun and have a LOT of replay value, even if they're short.

Metroid Prime CAN be harder for me, but like.. e__<; It's hard enough. No, wait.. it's SCARY enough that I don't want it harder. xD;
So yeah, totally try Metroid Prime 1 if not 3. That way you'll only be out about ten bucks (used at Gamestop.) and you won't be spending $40 on a game that you don't know if you would like or not. xD

I may take to the actual GUITAR like a duck takes to water...but I SUCK SO BADLY on Guitar Hero it's...well, I'd say it's not even funny, but it is funny. It's downright hilarious.
I can just imagine going back and playing in public now that I've switched hands...

The game that's giving me the most trouble is GunValkyrie - it was one of the games I got for CHRISTMAS, and I STILL HAVEN'T MANAGED TO CLEAR LEVEL 2.
It's all good; I still get to blow up a lot of mutant bug things...but the fact is, I really, really, REALLY suck at games. XD;;;;

And YES. OH MY GOD. It's really been a YEAR.

Oh!! On Guitar Hero, that's when you go into options and click "Lefty Flip". It switches it for left-handed players. x3 I played it that way one time for fun and I sucked horribly.
Aaaaannddd. That's what Co-op mode is for. You can start off on bass because it's a LOT easier. >3

It's a game my parents found in the store where they went searching for interesting games a week before Christmas. XD It's not really very well-known. But it's still pretty damn fun.

If so, that's what you'll deal with on Metroid Prime. For MP3 though.. You point the Wii remote at the screen to aim your gun. it's awesome.

My problem with my hands isn't necessarily SPEED, but coordination. My hands are pretty damn fast, actually..and when I'm improvising or playing something I actually KNOW well on the guitar, I do very well for my experience level. But when I'm trying to coordinate with real-time instructions I'm watching...:sweat: Not so good.

And yeah, it's a first-person shooter. And all the things you're shooting are giant mutant bug-like things. They're kinda freaky. o_O But it's fun to make everything go BOOM. XD
And THAT sounds like a really fun system. Damn you...I so have to get it. XD
What sucks is that I don't even have my own TV. XD I have to play either in the living room with my parents pissed at me for using their TV, or in their room and feeling rather uncomfortable. XD;;;
