What's up, everyone? : D
Long time no see... |
Awsome avi Ari o.0
|
I'm doing well. How are you?
|
@ Cora - Thanks. : )
Took me like forever to figure it out...and I refused to start posting around again till it was done. XP @ Nephila - I'm doing good. Been a real long time since I was on here, and feel really out of the loop. XP But life, and the two books I'm currently reading, have been more interesting lately... : ) |
What books are you reading?
|
@ Nephila - The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson & Social Intelligence by Daniel Goleman.
The former is cause I finished The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and I wanted to read the sequels; while the latter is cause my mom is making me read it... >_>; |
Hey Ari! : D
I have to agree with Cora about your avatar! Really cool! And how can you read two different books at once? DX |
oo I've heard good things about the first one.
|
Oooh. I like your current avi, Seiki.
|
@Seiki - Heya! : D
Thanks! >w< I also love yours! <3 And... I just can. >w< Though, it helps that they're both two completely different genres so I won't mix them around. XP @Nephila - Yeah, the first one's real good! Got some really dark themes, but still real good! : D You should read it! ; ) |
I'll have to make the time. I don't mind dark themes. I haven't seen the movies yet so I think I'll wait on seeing the movies till after. Maybe I can find a spoken version of the book. one that I can put in the background while doing art or other things. I rarely have time to read more than the paper.
|
@Nephila - I think you can get the audio books on iTunes? Not sure if it's in English or the original Swedish though..
I wish I knew Swedish so I could read the books in the original Swedish... would probably be slighter better than the English versions.. Nice. Newspapers can be pretty good reads.. : ) |
Thanks guys.
The newspapers here are so boring. Usually it's the same thing day after day with maybe one or two good stories. I read the lifestyle section of my paper every day cover to cover, and then skim the rest of the paper for new headlines. |
Hmm I 'll have to search on that then...and probably wait till after Christmas.
|
cora can only read ONE book at a time....doesn't matter the genre.
|
I feel like if I read two different books at a time, the only way I'll process them both as different stories is if I reread the part that I just read when I pick up again once switching. My mind just doesn't want to let go of whatever story it's working on at that moment.
---------- ps, why is no one posting in my even thread? does no one want 5k? DX |
Cora keeps missing you usually. She'll post alittle now.
|
My mom kidnapped me and took me to Walmart and Ross just now looking for an outfit for her manager training graduation thing. Not my idea of fun.
|
That sucks Seiki
|
It wouldn't have been a problem if my mom liked things that looked good. She has really bad taste in clothing, and said no to everything I suggested.

Though, I can still not get the hang of reading prologues or forewords cause they just keep boring me to death. >_>; ...Seiki has an event thread? : o *goes to hunt for and post in now* |
I mean, I suppose it depends on what I'm reading. If I'm reading a stories, my mind doesn't want to retain anything if there's more than one thing going on at a time. But if I'm reading information, its a whole different story. I can study and read because my mind stores the information differently. I don't know. It's weird.
|
Yeah, it was hard at first.. but eventually I just did it so much I got used to it.
|
Hehe I ventured into the Menewsha Nation, hoping to take your advice and just post in a thread and try~ but when I saw your name, I quickly clicked here instead XD ahh feels scary posting in people's threads that I don't know >< so not used to being on Mene like before XD
|
Usually, this is an AC thread. But you're welcome here any time Juli <3
