Hobo and second hand can overlap, but the typical image of hobo is very dirty. Not so much second hand as third or fourth hand. Things that absolutely no one else would want.
Whereas second hand is more things that just few people would want. xD |
I think "hobo" fits within the parameters of the challenge, as I see it, but I see the spirit of the challenge to mean an outfit someone (likely from the suburbs if not the city) might wear as created out of second-hand items.
It's no disrespect intended towards hobos, vagrants, homeless, or the otherwise needy. Then again - I'm neither a contestant of Project Mene nor a judge of Project Mene, so this is the opinion of one person. |
In my view, a hobo avatar can fit. But hobo avatars are usually full of browns and grays, which are not very aesthetically pleasing at all. So if a browny grayish hobo avatar was pitted against a prettier, more colorful (but still second-hand looking) avatar, the hobo avatar would not win. At least, as far as I was concerned.
