The notes Seiki made seemed really nice and helpful.

here is my first attempt at the new challenge.....the colors are still in the workings as far as balance.....just curious if anyone sees in it the take I was going for....if not I'll need to start over.

I'm not really getting "can" from that.

*sighs* I was afraid of that.......it was supposed to be remenicent of an exploded Mt.Dew can.....

EDIT- wow I must be tired.....didn't realize the whole time I was making that.....Mt.Dew.....is yellow....not brown....

and thanks for your input Seiki... to be honest, the white base was deliberate for the first challenge, it just seemed to fit best, but I didn't even think about it for the second challenge, it was just still there after the first xD
I don't tend to think about skin tone much, I used to always have base 2, but I tried to use it better in round 3 and I'll keep trying to find a tone that fits the av :)

this challenge is going to be interesting... the challenges so far except for the first have been kind of out there. But it's good! It makes me think outside the box, I've never been so good with themes before, I'm more of a colour person.

Basing the entry around a soft drink can is a good idea Cora... it's inspiring for me, I had no idea how to do a can xD

It was my initial thought was soda.....that way I can stray from the traditional aluminum color and add brighter colors. Then Whilst I was searching for a reference picture I came acrossed one of an exploded can and thought that would be a neat idea to work with.

Your idea got me thinking about doing a diet coke can... it's the soft drink I drink most often, not that I drink it that much anyway xD

Seiki's challenges are definately very trying....but Its really kind of fun....^.^

Dt. Coke is a good idea, I've sort of been working on an exploded coke can cause well.....Mt.Dew didn't work because there is no yellow hair D:

Aww, I actually really liked Kultura's outfit.

me too....I hate to admit it.....but I felt my outfit was rather dull....I wasn't at all happy with it.....and really think it should have been me in her place....I just had no inspiration last round.

Thankies for the input, Seiki. =) To be honest, I see what you mean about my tendency towards bigger items for my entries. Which now I find strange, since that isn't exactly my normal style, now that I think about it. ^^;; I guess it's because I'm not sure how to handle these sorts of challenges, since I'm more used to themeless avatars with color. Probably why my entries never seem to be complete or put together, since I'm seriously new at themes.

This is really challenging me though, and I'm happy for it. :3 I'd like to think I'm getting somewhere, but who knows? 8DD;; Thank you again for the advice.

There seems to always be disagreement among the judges for my avatars..Some said the hat fitted the theme, others said it was too fancy :lol:
Same happened last round, between the scarf being second-hand or not.
