Sizz - Aww, you didn't need to scrap it. I'm just super picky about little details. I can absolutely love an avatar, but still see ways that it could be improved.
When will the application period for judges and contestants end? I'm anxious for the next round to start. xD

Well, I wasn't happy with it either actually. XP It wasn't working like I wanted it to, and was kind of plain. What I have on now was more along the lines of what I wanted to do (color-wise) in the first place. XD I was just waiting for a trade to finish to make an outfit I really liked.
EDIT:
What do you think of the chickies at the feet now?
I felt I needed yellow at the bottom.

Cherrypie is impatient xD
I have more than enough judge applications, but I still need at least one more contestant application before we could start. It wouldn't be very helpful to start off with the wrong amount of contestants xD

Sizz - I was actually wondering to myself how some chickies would work because, I agree, it needed yellow at the bottom.
I think they work well! They're cute and springy like the rest of the avatar. :D Although there may be too many of them.
Seiki - cherrypielol. xD
I am. ._. I've just been so stuck in a rut with avatars lately, so I'm excited for it to start so I can get some inspiration. xD

I think the America's Next Top Model contestant, Allison is a little creepy. But I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing for a model.
Think about it - it made you pay attention to her, didn't it? As opposed to a model with a very pleasant, generic face.

I've seen creepy looking models in catalogs before. It got my attention, but it made the clothes look worse.
And now I always notice whenever I see that model in other advertisements and catalogs, but every single time it makes whatever she is modeling look bad. xD
Not all attention is good attention. xD;

I feel like the creepy models are more suited to editorials and runways than catalogues...
it's a different look
for catalogues the models need to look happy and generic and real
but for editorials and runways they can have that slightly creepy, edgy look to complement what the photographer is trying to do

Yeah, if they're on a runway I really don't care how weird they look since I don't even pay attention to that. xD
But Kohl's gets some really weird-looking models for the Vera Wang line and... Vera Wang stuff is weird enough as it is. It makes me ignore the entire page in the catalog because I'm just trying to get away from the relentless gaze of some creepy alienwoman. xD;

One of my brother's best friends in high school worked as a model. He was actually quite exotic looking, but that's rare for male models. I remember when his first picture was put up in a big department store (I think it was Famous Barr, but it might have been JC Penny's). We went searching for his picture, and we almost thought all of the pictures were of the same person, the guys looked so similar.

Donna, noooooooo! D:
It's just... the colors... they're weird. And the stuff is weird. And the models are weird.
Usually the stuff is like, ALMOST cute and I ALMOST like it, but then they put it in this weird greeny yellowgold shade that's just... ew. D:

I'm sorely tempted on planning a user-run event now that that announcement's been made. Its like "WE DARE YOU TO MAKE A USER-RUN EVENT WORTH PARTICIPATING IN" even though I know that's not what it's all about at all. I know the staff are trying to save themselves the trouble of having to deal with people scamming others and canceling and having to make sub-forums that aren't really used and etc. But still man, its like, I wanna try now cause it feels like a challenge xD
And I bet you somehow I could manage to get an item made for the event. I don't know how, but I'd find a way. I wouldn't go through with hosting the event if I couldn't figure out how to make that happen for everyone.

@Seiki: Yeah, I wish user-run events would have items, just like the official ones. It would definitely motivate everyone to join in on the fun.
Because... as much as I love the staff/user-run games, I usually don't have the time to participate (or else my schedule doesn't overlap with the times that the games are running). Then, it sometimes feels like nothing special is happening during an event. An item would make an event so much better!
Besides, didn't the first user carnival have that hairpin?

Dare's summer carnival had an item, but only barely. It almost didn't happen, but he was able to talk Josh (the owner at the time) into letting Chibi pixel an item for the event.

Maybe one of the current pixelists would be kind enough to do that for an event if it seemed promising enough? x3

If I were to start working on an event, I would have contingency plans for that already. Plus, I think I could have it all generally sorted out within a couple of weeks as opposed to the three month minimum that they require. It isn't necessary to take exactly that much time to work on the events in my opinion. I think that's being nitpicky to be honest.
Besides, I think I would want to just have most of the event be done on my planning with feedback from co-hosts. The event would be fully funded by me through stuff I have extra of, good art would be easy to find, especially with the right connections, forum/thread layouts are fun. It all feels like it would be easy to me. My only thing though would be figuring out how to work in the item. Because like I said, if I can't figure out how to get an item for everyone, it wouldn't be worth my doing.

I know. Most of her products color-wise, not my favorite.
But style-wise,...:drool: ~D: <33
Bridal = dowant.
Let's be honest, nobody's going to hang around (long) if there's no item. :/

Donna - Because you said that, I googled some pictures of Vera Wang stuff, and I came up with this: http://ecochicweddings.typepad.com/p...ng_new2_xl.jpg
The dress is really really pretty. But here you can see why I say Vera Wang is weird. The model has fur and a weird headband thing. What? xD;

Really lovin the color scheme Seiki.
I suppose if you guys really want me to I can put in an aplication to be a contestant instead of a judge. I just wanted to try my hand at judging.

I'm always tempted to apply to this, especially now that we can MAC things. *considers* It would be fun to judge, but I suspect you have a nice batch to pick from already.

Ohh Seiki, if you do make a user run event I'd love to help! As long as it isn't during the summer XD I have a nice supply of extras too so I could help a lot with funding too.
Ferra, your avatar is so creepy and weird but I really like it o__o; you always come up with the most originan item combos!

You could always MAC your entries Ferra. I guess you mean how the MAC is being updated with the new items though right?
Creps, its cool. I don't think I would really plan an event. At least not anytime in the near future haha.
Thank you Cora! I like the blue and orange being together, but its hard to balance. I'll probably try again tomorrow.
