Its called Generation Dead by Daniel Waters. Its the first in a series of books I believe, but I don't know how many have been released. I know there are supposed to be five total by the time the series is finished, but we'll see.

xD Yeah...xD almost any money i receive goes toward books. But since my sister is reading now, it doesn't damage my bank account as badly anymore. x.x But I really need to cut back on the reading until my sister moves that damn chair out of my room to her house so I can buy another bookcase to put my overflow of books on x.x

She and her friends (she has a few friends that i'm not friends with) all believe in zombies, and love to read books involving them or watch movies with them

I'm actually not very into zombie stuff, but I thought that book looked really interesting. So maybe it's the zombie book for people who don't like zombie books. XD
