Yeah, it has been going on for longer. By a day xD But it's going to be extended because there have been a couple of extensions granted so those people who've been given their extension have until Sunday. Kind of kills my planned schedule, but what am I going to do about it? : (

They're not ruined haha. I just wanted to keep a more strict schedule this time since it seems like every round something would get in the way and I would be inadvertently extending the contest without being able to help it. So instead of taking 2.5-3 months, it would be 4-5 months long xD

I'm basically terrible at making avatars, so I usually don't come around the Avatar Chat forum. ^^;

I think people need to come round more often and stop feeling that they're not good enough to participate in the AC forum. You don't have to be good at making avatars to hang out here and talk about them.

And besides, just hanging out in this forum is inspiring. You get better as you stay here longer.

I just usually find it frightening. xD;;

Is why I've decided to just make them for me, and not worrying about wanting to please anyone else with them. If they just happen to as well, then yay. If not, oh well.

Plus, I always feel like I'd get chewed out if I ever went for a rating. >_>

That's totally true! But, then again, most can't help but self-doubt. And that's why we have the AC! To seek help. :heart:

How are you going to be handling extensions with the whole partner aspect of this challenge seiki?

Anthony said she was going to ask for an extension, but I don't want to waste mine since I might need it later on, but it puts me at a bit of a disadvantage if we haven't been able to discuss our entries much because she's been tied up with irl stuff

@convo about AC- it can be frightening and a bit disheartning, however I guess I took the opposite approach, I sort of got mad about being torn apart in the beginning and sought to "show them they are wrong" lol

now its sort of my style as well...though I try not to be so harsh when rating people.

lol No one NEVER not had a tearing comment when they are around here at least for a bit. I'd say it's a lot of experimenting and what you like as well. Your tastes, as one could say.

oh I remember the first time I posted in the AC... I asked what people thought of my avatar in the Admin's Pick thread and got completely torn apart... but I guess I got over it and just kept working to improve...

I don't even remember what sort of attitude I took and what my thought process was or anything, just that I was upset about it and just kept going anyway xD

The most aggravating part about AC is that I get contradicting suggestions, like for my current avi. The first suggestion I got was to change the hair color so it wasn't gold-blonde, and the next suggestion I got was to change from blue to... gold-blonde.

You always have to realize that suggestions come from personal taste, so you just gotta take what people tell you and put your own spin on it.

I also seem to be not able to match colours. Haa.

XD I feel no shame in ignoring criticism or suggestions if I don't like them. I'm just like, "Eh, not my style."

I figure everyone likes different things, so there's no use in trying to please everyone.

Yeah, I don't bother changing things if I don't personally like the suggestions I'm given. XP

Like when I was in Project Mene, I never posted my avatars for critiques. I just went with my gut feeling. XP
