Registration starts tonight at midnight, so yeah. I have all my classes planned out and I WILL get my bloody yoga class this semester. >.>

See, we didn't have the SAT here, lol. Just the ACT, which went horribly for me. I took an accuplacer for math and I'll be taking one for science soon enough so that I can get into Anat and Phys and Microbiology. I'm actually really good at science...it's just that the ACT Science portion was a beast and I didn't have enough time to finish it. (They straight up tell you that the test is set up to make you fail)

TerrenaAnimula 04-18-2011 02:51 AM

Really? I've always been told the ACT was easier than the SAT and people who took both preferred the ACT. :/ And also that most colleges prefer to see SAT scores than ACT scores. So that kinda blows my mind that the ACT was the only thing offered.

With the SAT, there was only reading, writing, and math.

Our college, registration begins 8am in the morning to give people a chance because not everyone is going to be up at midnight. :/

ElysiumFate 04-18-2011 02:59 AM

Well, I can't honestly tell you if it's easier or not, being I've never taken the SAT...but the ACT has Reading, Math, Science, and English sections. None of which they give you enough time to complete (I know this because I did ACT prep and the advisors told you that you wouldn't be able to complete the thing, so they taught you the best way to bubble in bogus answers to get the best score).

You could opt to take a Writing ACT test...but that was only if your college requested it.

Well. Your college is nicer than mine, lol. Sooo evil. We all stay up at midnight, enter in our CRNs and hold our fingers over the enter button until midnight hits, then click and hope we get the classes we want, lol.

TerrenaAnimula 04-18-2011 03:32 AM

SAT is kinda different....you were better off leaving the answer blank if you didn't know it than to fill it in and get it wrong.

The writing section is mandatory I think.

lol...I hate the 8am thing! I want it to be midnight! But at least you get to register by what level you are (senior, junior...blah blah blah...)

ElysiumFate 04-18-2011 03:40 AM

Meh. We can register for whatever level we want, doesn't really matter, as long as we've got our prereqs met.

I'd heart that about the SAT. I'm rather glad I didn't have to take it, though I'd have opted to take neither had it been possible, lol.

TerrenaAnimula 04-18-2011 03:45 AM

I meant that seniors were able to register first...then juniors and so on. Although seniors and juniors were able to register at the same time for the fall this time...I don't know why...

ElysiumFate 04-18-2011 04:03 AM

Ah. No. We don't register that way, lol. It's just a free for all thing where everyone gets unleashed at once.

TerrenaAnimula 04-18-2011 04:21 AM

That's how it was at my community college...once open...hell was unleashed. XD

Yay! I finally have a new product in my zazzle store!

ElysiumFate 04-18-2011 04:27 AM

Oooh, what is it?

TerrenaAnimula 04-18-2011 04:30 AM

Daffodil Greeting Card from Zazzle.com

That is what I did. :D I like that drawing all digitized. :D

ElysiumFate 04-18-2011 04:46 AM

Very nice. :) All of your stuff is very pretty. :D

TerrenaAnimula 04-18-2011 04:54 AM

Thanks.

I actually don't even remember what all is on there. XD

I just know I've only sold one thing total on it and so I have made 30 cents...but they don't send a check out until you make at least $25. :/ So...I need to be putting stuff out and updating my website so I can hopefully get more traffic.

ElysiumFate 04-18-2011 05:09 AM

Yeah. I have considered using Zazzle to sell some of my knitting. The stuff would be uber expensive, though. I put a lot of work into that stuff, so I'd be charging at least $40 for a plain scarf, and more for one that you had to use a pattern for. Hats would maybe be less. They're quite a bit less work. It would also depend upon how involved they were.

I just don't know how willing people would be to pay that much for my stuff. I've also considered using Etsy. I love that site.

Angel Spirit Girl 04-18-2011 12:45 PM

That is some cute stuff in your store, Terrena. <3

TerrenaAnimula 04-18-2011 06:27 PM

Ely: Umm...you can't sell knitting on zazzle unless you were just taking photos of it to be printed on the stuff they print on....you'd only be able to sell that on Etsy and then I know of another site that's like Etsy but I don't remember what it is called. :/

Angel: Thanks! :D

TaiyoTsuki 04-19-2011 01:11 AM

*ninja-poofs in* Hiya!

Oop. I'd forgotten about that. That must've been the site my mum was telling me I should sell my photography work on. XD

GrannyJ 04-19-2011 07:25 PM

Hello my friends!

I am so sorry that I've been gone. We have had lots of company, and they have now left.
I hope to get back into my normal routine again!

The Kit-Kat Project 04-19-2011 07:37 PM

hello Granny! Long time no chat!

TerrenaAnimula 04-20-2011 08:56 PM

Hey, Granny! It's been a long time!

Ely: Probably. I have some photography pieces on mine. You should definitely try it! :D

In other news...I'M DONE WITH THE SEMESTER! YAY!

TaiyoTsuki 04-21-2011 01:46 AM

WOOOHOOO!!! *claps for Terrena* I've still got a month or so left.

YuenGuon 04-21-2011 03:54 AM

1500 pages granny! congrats!

What's everyone up to?

ElysiumFate 04-21-2011 04:14 AM

Still three weeks left for me, Terr. Then college starts again in a month and I have to look for jobs almost immediately after I get out of school so that I can get one that the University students are vacating for the summer.

@Yuen: Not much, just really tired. I had a long day, but it was good because I spent a lot of time with friends, which I haven't done in forever.

YuenGuon 04-21-2011 02:37 PM

I finish school in about two weeks, in fact I graduate with an Associate's in communications then i'm going to transfer in July.

Going out is nice :) I've been sick all week though :( I'm hoping to feel better this weekend. I already missed a shift of work and i left one of my classes early

ElysiumFate 04-21-2011 04:59 PM

I haven't been sick all year. I think I'm so determined not to be that all the little sickness buggies are afraid of me. :XD
