Yeah, it's totally not the fact that she was from China. Albeit, older Chinese people who are from there tend to be a little abrasive, but one of my best friends--the best guy friend I've ever had, actually--is from a first Gen Chinese family. He's the nicest boy I've probably ever met. A little too obsessed with anime for his own good, but what can you do about that with an Asian? XD

We get all of our snow in spring. Always have.

It's a bit cooler this afternoon here. I think a cold front came in.

By cooler, I mean in the upper 50's, so we still do not have to worry about snow.

In North Dakota, we generally got a blizzard around Thanksgiving, and one around Easter. March was a bad time for blizzards. One year we had 25 foot drifts around the farm. We actually had to use a long pole to poke through the snow to find the tractor before we could dig ourselves out.

My uncle dug tunnels so the cattle could go in and out of the barn.

That spring we had major floods when the snow melted, and we lost some calves because they were born in all the mud and could not stand up.

Ouch, I would not like to have to go through that ^^"

Yes, it was quite challenging to live on a farm in North Dakota!

I can't live on a farm...it would drive my allergies nuts.

I couldn't do that either. My allergies suck and I wouldn't like the smell ^^"

I get very nostalgic when I smell fresh-cut alfalfa (hay).

It reminds me of the good times on the farm.

Of course, there are those "other" smells!

Sora kinda misses cow smell........great grandmother had a farm with cows, so Sora got used to the smell....love it! ^^ (not poo smell of course, just cow smell)

I never got used to cow smell...then again, I don't live on a farm.

My grandmother is sending me in the mail a couple of Masonic Scholarships for me to fill out to try and get. One of the things I need to do is file my taxes because one wants me to attach my 1040. I didn't file my taxes because I don't make enough for it to be worth it. Plus I filed FAFSA already (I can update it if I did them). But, I guess I have to file my taxes and see if I can get anything worth my time. I don't have a lot of money in my account, so it's not like I can go anywhere. So, I'm looking on the IRS's website to find free things for me to do.

I need to finish up mine....which is a pain, because I need to wait for my mom to file taxes.
