You know, working right next door to a bakery is a bad thing.

I am sure it is.

I would always be tempted by the fresh baked bread.

I'm always tempted by all the pastries.
Cookies, brownies, fruit bars, rugalach, bundt cakes, baby bundts, pound cakes...
[gonk]
And I'm trying to lose weight, damnit!

When I did internet radio at the college I was at it was near the Subway sandwich shop. I had an early morning show and every time the door of the studio opened you could smell the bread baking.

Yeah... every morning when I walk into work, I can smell the bacon and syrup for the breakfast sandwiches.

Oh, sounds heavenly.

It's also torturous, because they open an hour after we do, and by that time I'm busy with customers.

Eww...Subway...I can't stand the smell. I've never been near one that actually smelled good. So I have never ate at one when just the smell it gives off is enough to make me gag.

The only smell I got was the freshly baking bread.

Me too. I was always so tempted to go and see if they would just sell me a loaf of their fresh bread.

The subway on the other side of town tends to smell like a dirty hoagie.
The one in the Walmart smells like a pizzeria

Well they do sell meatball subs and such. Though if I am going for a sub it's going to be Quiznos

Yeah, Quiznos apparently didn't like our town too much. The two we had moved out a few years ago and never came back.

Our area has had them move in and out. But there is one not to far from me.

Yeah, but it still sucks as I love their sandwiches.

They didn't put pepper in the sandwiches I ate...
