Why do we call it the Super Bowl, is it because of the shape of the trophy?
I dream a lot but most of them are really weird. xD I only have one nightmare and it's recurring. I wake in a cold sweat because of it. I'd be sitting in a shallow lake of dark water, like darker then blood, and a little thicker. I'd stand and the water would be like thigh high and I'd walk farther in till the water was waist deep. Off in the distance there would be a small piece of land barley rising out of the water, nestled perfectly behind it is an exceptionally bright and LARGE moon. As I'd be looking out at it a red deer would slowly walk out (literally solid red no shadings and flat, as if if you looked at it from the front it would only be two inches thick). The deer begins to lean its head back and a piece comes out from the base of its neck (if anyone has had a toy with a movable head, you know there's a piece hidden inside the body to anchor the head, yeah its if you bent the head to far and the anchor broke out). Then the view changes and I'm closer to it and the head snaps back into place but with jittery movements and makes a wooden clinking noise (The little tree spirits from Princess Mononoke kind of noise). Then I wake up in a cold sweat... and I don't know why. XD |
@Dream- I think it’s because of the shape of the stadiums they play the sport in, or so my dad tells me.
I love the tree spirits! That noise is so soothing… |
I'd describe my dreams if I didn't get goosebumps everytime i tried to explain them =X
Rubi, I had something similar. I was maybe like six or seven and I had one of those huge queen sized beds. I think Maybe it was because I was moving into a new house but I was dreaming and I rolled over and saw this woman. Like a dead corpse. More like zombie woman. I was so FREAKED. I still get scared by her sometimes. I only woke up sweating from when my friend caught fire. Most of the time I wake up covering my mouth and shaken. edit:that deer from princess mononoke is creepy beyond creepy. but i might have to watch that today. xD |
@Yuen- Eck, sounds scary!
I’d freak out if my friends where on fire. |
Rubi, it was so hard to deal with. And especially harder to look at the person and not freak out.
|
I'm finally(I think) finished all my work!!
@ YuenGuon: Whoa I would be freaked out too. I would have probably have screemed. By god, and I thought my dreams were scary. Tell me, what made you decide not to scream? |
@Yuen- I would imagine!
I’d see them on fire all day… D8 |
@ rubicubi: That would be sort of funny(well, not really), and really scary.I wouldn't be able to look them in the eye anymore, and they would think something's wrong with me.
|
I'm still working on some of my hw. I'm almost done writing out my outline for my rough draft, but I've decided I'm going to the library tomorrow night to work on it.
and now I'll start reading my stories for my Morals class. @ensemble: It was really scary, but I think at the time...it was more of a moment where I kind of cried a bit. But you know, I probably would have screamed if I was having a sleepover with her that night or something. @rubi: I was so freaked out! But I wouldn't let anyone light a lighter around her or anything. I still get shaky when someone messes around with fire. Like they joke around and light something stupid on fire. |
@ YuenGuon: OMG!! My first reaction would be to scream or get out of bed. When I was a 6, I had this really bad nightmare, I can't remember what it is, but I remember that I stayed up all night that night staring at the closet, to see if anything would pop out. I ended up sleeping with my parents. ^-^
|
@Yuen- I’m doing homework as well. -_-;;
I can understand that reaction. I’d be nervous too. |
haha
Lucky for me, I had nothing els to do except homework so woke up at 3am to complete everything then finding out I forgot something has that ever happened to you before? |

tree spirit?
Would you mind repeating your nightmare for me please? I would love to hear it.^-^ |
@ensemble: Sometimes [rarely] I might wake up at 3 or 4AM and I'll end up cleaning or other things around the house. But until high school I never worried about being alone while sleeping. I always shared a room so I never was that terribly scared. I probably would find out I forgot something =P
@rubi: Homework is taking my life this weekend. |
Sure. xD It's not that there are any tree spirits, just a similar sound.

@ YuenGuon: I'm so cowardly. I still stare at my bedroom closet sometimes, but now I don't have any trouble falling asleep when I want to, because I'm always so tired when I get to sleep.
@ Dream_and_Die: That's a really romantic(ish) and poetic dream. You know, one of my friends found a website that explained dreams, but I can't really remember what it's called. |
@ensemble: I do get scared. Like if I hear a sound when I'm trying to sleep, I'll turn on my lamp and look around and try to watch tv to make my fear go away for a little. I actually put the tv on sleep, I feel better when I do.
|
@ensemble: I used to have a teacher with a book that could explain parts of dreams and such. I wish I had it but I doubt a good portion of my nightmare would be in that book.
It does seem poetic, but the cold sweat and sense of pure terror when I wake up unnerves me. I'm usually not afraid of things, especially at night. :headdesk: |
@ YuenGuon: You have a T.V in your room?! If you do, LUCKY!!! If you don't just like me! My sis has a t.v in her room though. Lucky sis. But then again, she's older.
@ Dream_and_Die: Wow completly opposite of me. I go to bed with a hand cranked flashlight now and leave it on until morning. Then I just turn the handle to make electricity, and close it ro use at night time again. |
Lol, It's only a 13 inch tv. It's actually my sister's that she used in college. And also I share a room with my sister when she's home so it was her idea to put it in there anyways. But when I didn't have a tv in my room, I used the radio and put that on sleep lol x]
|
@ensemble: Yeah I like nighttime better then daytime, for the most part. xD Even though I have dark eyes my light sensitivity is amazing so I can see really well at night so I've never been afraid. Most people only feel uncomfortable because of the lack of vision (usually from childhood). There other reasons too. xD
|
@ YuenGuon: Still lucky, all I have are the comfort of my books and sketch book, not to mention my drawings.
@ Dream_and_Die: SO does that mean your vision in daylight is better or the same? |
@ensemble: Means I have to squint in the summer, a lot. xD Some times it's to bright out for me and my eyes will water. T_T
|
@ Dream_and_Die: You're like one of my friends. When she sees too much light, her eyes water and she gets a headach. Have you ever heard of people with perfect vision in the night and day?
