um....I started learning sign language.

I have a little bit of that too. I was teaching myself some of that for a bit, but it's been years since I studied any of that. I remember, like, four signs... I think...

I know the alphabet and how to sign the pledge of alliegance....and like, girl and boy. And I think stairs.

I only know girl and boy because someone who spoke sign language was showing me how old the language is. (Boy is like... cap and girl is bonnet string. I mean... that's where those motions come from) My step-dad also taught me how to say a naughty phrase in sign language so I know two words and one horrible phrase. XD

Hm... I know four phrases in French! I made my friend who was taking French when I was taking Spanish teach me how to say "I don't speak French." I don't think any of my friends took German or I'd have made them teach me to say "I don't speak German." XD

Edit: Oh yeah, don't ask me to spell stuff out in sign or be able to understand you when you spell but I know the alphabet by rote. ^^;

Mine? Overall, rather uneventful.

I worked some more on my professor's draft, and I sent him an email of what I've got done so far. He hasn't responded, but I can't say I'm overly surprised by that. It is the weekend now, and he has a family to spend time with. He also has tests to grade for at least one class--a class I'm in.

Not that I don't have other things I need to be doing as well. I need to get to work on a rough draft of a paper for one of my other classes... Though I should really probably finish that bilbliography for the History 200 class first.

Gah! I've got too much to do!

It's Friday night, you deserve at least one night to just relax and not think about it. Worry later. *hugs*

Well, I can't say Dr. McConnell's book isn't at least somewhat interesting... I sound like a major nerd saying that about a history book.

So what? You like history, nothing wrong with that. I enjoy reading Jane Austen or L.M.Montgomery or even... le gasp! My math books. That's right, I like doing math. It's fun!

I embrace my nerdiness, but I'm rather an ecclectic nerd it seems. Even though my focus at large tends towards the arts and humanities, I also have a fair amount of interest in the hard sciences too.

Really, about the only subject I can't claim any real fondness for is math. Heh... I know the math skills to get me through daily life. I have no desire to learn the stuff that I'm never likely to use.

Being a nerd is awesome! Have you ever gotten into a nerd fight with someone and a non-nerd was nearby going "buh... what?" It's hilarious!

Well... they weren't non-nerds. We were just discussing the physics that would be involved in a TV show the other person hadn't seen. But it was still pretty fun and silly!

It's fun to set a nerd trap.

Of course, I've fallen into a few myself.
