I don't normally have extras or even any way of putting them on so I usually try to stick to just embroidery. I'm also moving into a new area of fashion in my life where I'm trying to expand to more colors. I looked at my wardrobe one day and realized the whole thing practically was blue. That... is so boring.

Well you can jazz up things really simply, I go the the hobby store to the jewelry section and get the metal bracelet beads with crystals and then just sew them on through the holes on pocket corners or edges and the seaming junctions.

I'm not creative like that. ^^; I'm really not a hands on kind of person for anything, I don't even like arting with anything besides a computer expect maybe for line art. I find markers, pencils, and paints to be... insufficient.
Edit: Well... I'm off to bed. See you in the morning! And poke me to do some art when we see each other, I really want to buckle down but I no will power! XD

Washing/drying machine is on the same floor I am in the kitchen. Glad we have a washing/drying machine because then I'd have to walk out of the apt to another building where the washing/drying machines are. Then from what I heard, you have to fight over them.

3 floors below you? That's horrible. It's got to be a pain to have to take all your laundry down there and bring it back up.

there's an elevator, but its way at the end of the hall and the stairs I two steps from my door. I'm on the top floor of the dorm, so I should expect it.

Ahh. Our apt buildings have only 2 floors. But we enter right into our apt. I'm on the top floor. This place is not wheelchair accessible at all. You could probably make it wheelchair accessible for the bottom floor, but I kinda doubt the owners would do that. Even if someone who used a wheelchair wanted to rent. There are 2 apts opened here. Both top floor. They've been empty since the middle of summer. No one wants to rent them. It's over $600 a month and you still have to pay for everything. We don't have to pay that much since my mom complained since we've been here since it was $400 a month. And you know that's expensive when all it is is 1 bathroom, 2 bedroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen. And you can rent a house that's bigger than that for just a little over $600. :/ At least I think they're still renting it out for a little over that. XD

Hello everybody!
I hope you are all doing well today.
It's pretty cold here. We are expecting snow tomorrow, which is very strange for Austin.
My husband has purchased the groceries that we need, so we don't have to go out tomorrow at all. The people around here don't know how to drive on ice or snow, so it's best to just stay off the roads.
I think that apartments here in Austin are very pricey. I believe that a single one bedroom is going for around $600-700 a month.

That sounds very affordable to me, Granny. D= Perhaps I should move. =D
Actually, here in Chicago we are very amused that Texas has snow before us this year. But it isn't really funny for places that aren't used to snow. ; ;

Hello, Guivre!
I would imagine that Chicago is very pricey for apartments.
I think that as long as you aren't trying to get an apartment close to the university, that you can find some affordable one bedrooms here. If you go to two bedrooms, then they get more expensive.

I don't know how to drive in the snow and ice. I've been driving with an actual license and not a learner's permit for about a year now. Anytime the snow gets bad enough, the cancel classes so I don't have to go anywhere. So, I've had no practice driving it. And I live in a valley, so we do get snow every year. But I still say (along with a bunch of my friends from high school) that there is this force field around where we live that makes the snow go around us. XD

It would be easier to put a force field around a valley. **Thinks.**

But, snow is better! Especially when you get enough so that campus gets closed. That way you don't have to drive to campus. XD And then get to sleep in and stay warm underneath nice warm, comfy blankets. XD

It has to be really bad for things to be closed around here. Like, cataclysmic level snows. D= I do remember a couple of times, though.
