Hector is a perfect name for him! I like that it's not a fluffy puppy kind of name. It sounds like a name I'd give to a real-life cat or dog.

I'm just not a fluffy gal. I think they're appropriate for some things, but other times I feel like people use them too much. Like, I chose my son's name because it was unique. There aren't going to be a lot of little boys named Otto running around his school - I had a good friend named Otto many years ago, and always liked the name. There are, however, a few dozen boys named James for example. Fluffy is fine sometimes, the cuteness factor just gets a bit overwhelming at times!

I like darkness and empty places o.o;; But I like cute things too. I just thought of fluffy since they seem so fluffy. As you might have noticed, I'm not all that well with names to begin with! D:

I don't care for "Fluffy" names either. I feel that animals deserve a sense of dignity when they get older, just like with people. (My cousins wife's name is Lissy. She resents it now as an adult.) So names that are eloquent but can be shortened are best. Like my grandma was names Antoinette, but was called Annie until she was 25, then Ann, then Antoinette when she became a grandmother. Though we got to call her Nana Annie sometimes. xD

Fluffy names aren't necessarily names like Lissy or so. A fluffy name can also be just a pet name or so. Like me. My real name's Sherlon but my friends all call me Cherrie. It's sugary and at times I hate the sound of it, but it's cute cause it gives some kind of sweetness, kindness and love to it, so it's more than just a name. Only reason why I like them. x3

Yeah that's what I meant. I like pet names, I give out about a dozen or so to people and pets I love but don't name someone the pet name.
Give the person or (pets) owner the option of getting nicknames and pet names later on in life.
People always ask Lissy if her name is Mellisa, but it's not.

I get a lot of nicknames from people, but I really don't like any of the ones from my name so I made up a name to use and the got the nickname from that. xD

Otto is a very strong name.

My step daughter named her girl Anika, which I think is very, very nice.

Then her son came along, and she named him Floyd.
