I actually like certain areas of pop - specifically Britpop, though. American Pop is little more than a cliche joke. :stare:
And modern music, well... I think half of my library is modern, and half isn't. :lol: I love both equally, although my more modern loves tend to be on the more indie side of things. But I hate calling 'em all indie, because that label tends to draw a dull, poor perception for people. :gonk:

^^ Ok you have me there. I do like the alternative indie scene. But, give me folk and celtic-y any day.

Are you familiar with Regina Spektor? :lol: She's apparently classified as anti-folk, and she's among my very favorite artists. :heart: Not sure if they consider that folky, though... The "anti-" label kinda throws me for a loop. :ninja:

I hate having to make "Top" lists of my favorite artists, but suffice it to say, Mika, Regina Spektor, Siouxsie and the Banshees, KT Tunstall, and Alanis Morissette are probably five artists I could never, ever live without. :ninja: :drool:

...I need to get Regina's albums for college. And Mika's. And Siouxsie and the Banshees' (they have 11! :shock: And I also want the albums from when two of their band members formed the side-project The Creatures, which I think is another 5 albums... And then Siouxsie's '07-ish solo album!!)... And KT's. And Alanis'. I think that'd be well over $200 right there! :shock:
