It's really cold in our living room, which feels amazing after coming in from outside.

The basement is pretty cool, but damp.

I wouldn't want to retreat to the basement. It's a Michigan basement, only with a bumpy concrete floor. It's cool enough, but not very comfortable.

Ours is a basement, like... with the smooth floors, and there is an extra couch down there (mind you an awkward one)... but it is so damp.

we have no basements here.
