Okay so I really need to share this with you to make sure that my best friend and I aren't fucking crazy for thinking this situation is absolute bullshit.

About a month ago my best friend (we'll call her A) brought a mutual friend of ours (we'll call her D) and myself to a party one of her friends (a guy we shall label H) was throwing to celebrate their escape from working at Wal-Mart. We all got along great and had a blast together. After that first meeting, H (who talks to A every single day) starts asking about D. A is slightly hurt because she has a huge crush on H but understands that some things just aren't meant to be. So H and D start going out on dates, now, all A asks of D (whom has been one of her best friends since fifth grade) is that she be honest with her and not hiding anything. D swears up and down that she doesn't really like H and that "chicks before dicks" is her motto. Everything is peachy, A is okay with the fact that H is interested in D and even though H has stopped talking to her completely, she doesn't make a big deal out of it because she's not that kind of person. HOWEVER! Today, A gets a text from K (H's best friend) and finds out that H and D are officially a couple now despite all the things that D has been saying. So now of course A is upset because she's found out that D has been lying to her the entire time and hurt because she and D were incredibly close. None of us that know about this can wrap our heads around it because we NEVER EVER pictured D to be the kind of person to pull a stunt like this. She has never hidden anything from A and A even told her that she was okay with her dating H and that all she wanted was honesty and to not be left in the dark.

So A is extremely angry and hurt and I've been trying my best to calm her down to no avail. This entire thing is just stupid and the only reason I don't rip D a new one is because A has specifically asked me not to because she knows how I am when I'm pissed off.
