I tend to find it impossible to tune out voices. I mean real ones, not the ones in my head. :ninja: Especially one-sided phone conversations. Music and other white noise helps with that, too.

Also, gum chewing. And coffee slurping. And... it has been getting worse lately...

why would you ever want to tune out the voice in your head? unless they're arguing of course of telling you contradictory things... :ninja:

The noise of my dad eating ticks me off so much, whenever he's eating I twitch and if I can I leave the room D:

lol cica i can stop listening to a conversation at the drop of hat even if i don't mean to, if my mind goes somewhere else during the conversation i'm done listening. i have very select hearing. i can block any noise that i don't want to hear

I don't hear my mom talking to me when I'm typing. she thinks I'm ignoring her.

I don't know, Kat, but I think the constant earworms drown out the mental voices. Sometimes they're like fanfic voices, though. When I was watching a lot more crime fiction TV, I got mental psychoanalyses from one of the psychologist characters. Might have been one from CSI...
