Bwahahaha... the key to not sweating here is to not drink enough water :P Which is a realy impossible task as is. I say that if you get hot just go streaking. lol

Been in Afghanistan almost 8 months now. Looking back it doesn't seem so long, but I've had some good people around me :)

And thats a fair point, but drinking less water would be a mighty task for me....i often get labelled a fish cause i've ALWAYS got a drink near me xD

It really would have dragged. But thankfully it hasn't been as bad as I had imagined it, but then again I have a habit of imagining the worst case scenarios and hoping that it's not as bad as I could imagine O_O;;

With all 12 month deployments we get 15 days of leave. So... 2 weeks of leave then it's time to go back out there! :)

Usually I drink lots of water but... I hate sweat <.< lol... "fish" hehehe

lawl i agree there! I always used to go into EVERYTHING expecting the worst...at least that way i leave thinking "well...at least it wasn't AS bad as i thought" XDD

wow, brutal stuff for you americans isn't it! I think the british army get leave of 6 weeks sometimes when they do long ones, it can't be easy for those with family when deployments are so long? =/

Exactly how I was looking at it! So then it wouldn't be SO bad. I had imagined tents with dirt floors and nothing but MRE's to eat... we had tents with wooden floors and nothing but MRE's so it wasn't THAT bad. lol. Just cold... oh so cold at night!!

Well, I guess the Army has the silliest deployment lengths and the least amount of down time. It always sounds so much nicer in every other country! lol

Yes, straight back to afghanistan. Not going home for good til... jan... or feb... we aren't sure yet.
