So guys have any grand plans for Turkey Day?

my family is coming over here. i have a very large family (we already have over 30 people we know are showing, and that's with regulars not showing) so it's gonna be crazy.

my plan is to write. I'm not going anywhere except maybe to my aunts house in the evening.

And writing for school Kat? I know my friend is complaining cause she is a classics major so she is researching and translating greek and latin all break.

My brother and his new wife are coming here, my sister n brother in law as well and nieces.... Maybe my aunt...but that's about it. Our family does major holidays on the small scale, we get together with everyone else in large picnics in the spring and summer

I just made two pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving

yeah it should be fun plus i get to see my best friend (whom i haven't seen in months!) and so i'm really excited.

sounds nice to do small scale. small scale for my family is like twenty people. it's most cuz my mom has 3 sibling. and 3 of them have kids and those kids are married and some of them have kids. and really it just adds up fast.

well, my dad has two siblings, but my mom is a middle child with 5 brothers and 2 sisters....


but, they are kinda scattered now. we used to get together for xmas and such when I was little.

ah yeah all my family is mostly in texas. so we see each other often

One of my dad's brothers is in Kentucky now. Too bad, cause he and my aunt are really interesting people. I rarely see them now. My aunt is a reporter and my uncle used to run his own periodical for children (submitting short stories, art, etc)

that's pretty cool. the most interesting thing i've got in my family is my uncle installs trailer homes for a living. if that doesn't say redneck then i don't know what does. XD

I want a pie a whole lot right now.

Some of the people are interesting in my fam... For the most part... They are pretty normal. My other uncle on my dad's side runs the park department for these two rich towns, so he runs the fireworks every 4th of July, and they have a GREAT budget... so I mentioned ones I liked one year, and he got a bunch of them.

ah well, my dad has his own business...all labor intensive hardwood flooring. my mom does the business end of it all. So I feel yah... Just middle class all the way here.

And I dunno...maybe its a new england thing. It's good though, if you hav esome molasses, just put a few tablespoons in your normal recipe for the pie
