Nah, its an English book. You may end up reading it in English class when you do British Literature sometime in high school.


Also currently favorite thing is Alice in Wonderland.

I'm rereading and re-translating Beowulf for funsies. Another of my new years resolutions was to not let my brain go smushy and soft just because I am not in school at the moment.

I recently got two 1940's hard cover books in Danish for $6. :D
I have no clue what they're about or say, but hey, who can't resist old books in another language? xD

I actually haven't been and got books from the library recently. I should. But I dunno where I'm gonna be this year, if I move. xP

OMG old books make me so happy. probably why I want to be a librarian. I got to play with (and by play with I mean touch with great care) hand written manuscripts from Italy and German from the 16th century. SO cool. Most were written on vellum (animal hide scrapped until smooth and soft and paper like...usually sheep or deer) and some had illustrations that were hand painted. One was someone's herb book. SO cool.

I have a few older books. My two oldest are from the 1870s and my favorite is from 1892, and it's a collection of Tennyson's poetry only a few years after his death. XD **Geeked out**
