You can set the temperature...so I'll have it not quite boiling.
I like to be able to drink my tea right away...

It's a separate faucet at your sink. There's a little hot water tank of about 2 gallons under the sink, so it stays hot all the time.

We have a dishwasher. It's a bit older by about 3 years. But when we got that we got a stainless steel one, so it fits right in.

Stainless is nice, but it sure shows fingerprints badly...

That's a pretty nice feature Jean ^^ Oh, I see what it is now. I thought it was just with your hot water to begin with. That could cause some issues :sweat:

me and my brothers beat, bribed, and black mailed each other in order to get out of our chores and get someone else do it. WAs I learning the right lesson with those chores?

Did you pay people to do your work for you? I'm sure that you learned a lot about the functionality of the world and the corrupt systems. Of course, if you came out on bottom then you wouldn't want to do that, you'd want the world to be equal where everyone else does their own part, but it's not like that. You learned that there are people out there who will do anything to "get ahead" and that's a lesson that you wouldn't have learned otherwise. Basically, we don't live in a perfect world. People are imperfect creatures.

The open area in the granite in the 2nd picture is where our Wolf rangetop will go.
A stainless vent will be right below the cabinets above it...

It's not recommended to get backsplash tiles that look too much like the granite.

The gal at the store actually recommended that we do a glossy white/almond plain color...kinda close to the cabinet color, but a bit different.
Then put a border through of some glass tiles.

I'm leaning towards that...
There are some tiny glass tiles with multi colors in them that go with the granite really nicely, so we'll put a band of that through the backsplash, and maybe a square in the area under the vent hood...

So the backsplash would be a shiny light almond color with a splash of color in a line going through it...

The almond tiles would be subway tiles...so it would look like bricks sort of, but shiny.

Multi color glass tiles! I like the sound of that! Mosaic-y

Whoa! Nice! I want a colorful kitchen, to an extent. A floor that lights up when you step on the tiles would be awesome :rofl: They glow softly when pressure is applied to it, but it would take some skill if there was a table or something.. and they'd have to be able to hold up the weight of a person without cracking of course so no glass unless it was really thick. But ya... >.>

I don't want to mention it to hubby, cuz then he'd want it.

Right now we're thinking of a slate-type of floor...they type where the tiles are large, but kinda different colors. Like one would have grey in it, and a different one may have more orange in it... It's hard to describe.

Slate sounds nice. I like the thing they have in europe, because everyone has marble floors, they have heated floors that you can switch on in the winter, because the marble gets so cold O_O. Your tiles sound nice though! Sounds like it would go well with your countertops :D

((It's glorious outside, I am gonna go for a hike, be back later!! I just had to wait around for a phone interview, which went well I think! We joked about and all that....and he said I had a very kind, sincere voice.

I couldn't get my computer to restart at first because of the way the computer is set up, but my dad knew how to do it, so he fixed my computer for me.

Yesh, it was good, but not too long. Only 20ish minutes on the phone. But, I hope I will get a second interview. Will know by the end of the week. Soooo. yesh, fingers crossed.
