ah yes, lucky you. I basically woke up with the dawn because that's when my aunt got up and I'm a light sleeper. it's after 9am now though.

I'm a late sleeper. Usually don't fall asleep before 4-5am, more often 7am, usually don't get up before 1PM if I don't have to.

(Need to get my sleep, after all. XD)

I would prefer to be a little more nocturnal as well, but I'm with family. I'm sleeping on the couch in the living room anyway.

Ah, I see. I live with my sister and parents.
Dad is as nocturnal as I am, and on the rare occasions I have to get up really early - 7am or such - I often run into him just getting ready to go to bed. Sis is naturally nocturnal, but with her job usually has to get up around 7-8am. Mom is sort-of-nocturnal, but as teacher, on the days she has to work, she has to get up early as well. XD

my aunt gets up with the dawn naturally. she says it's natural when you get older.

For my dad, it seems to have become natural to go SLEEP around dawn. XD

I don't know. people are weird.

Not really...maybe for the older generation...but not me.

Christmas open house? At your home? Do you have one of those uber pretty homes that ppl pay money to come tour in for the holidays?

I love those. We have a lot of them in my state. Ppl will give you treats and drinks, there can be musicians, etc. It's nice! I think the coolest one was where there were two harpists playing carols.

Holiday. We do it every year on the Sunday between Christmas and New Years.

There was a couple in our neighborhood that always had a Christmas party.
Then they built a fabulous home (away from here of course).

The still have the Christmas party, only it's catered, they have valets to park your car, and everything.

I guess that's how the rich and famous live...

We didn't go to their party this year...
We hate driving at night.

Ooooh. I wanna see pictures if it's all decorated pretty like!!!!! Like I said, I love those things. And I live in CT, so it's the land of nice houses. In the town next to me, they have a strict decorations code, that if you DO put them up, you have to do only certain things that are approved. Which is kinda silly, but also nice cause then it all comes together really nicely. The whole downtown area is a historical district, so the houses are gorgeous anyways.

One of the things we do when we travel is try to visit some of the historic houses in whatever area we're in.

There are usually a few that are open.
