ah, clarity is a good word for it. I remember studying Itten's theory of contrast and this conversation reminds me of that.

I suppose there would be all kinds of theories and stuff about it...

there are three main color theorists that people study. Itten is one of them.

I took one art class in college.

We had to sit through lots of slides of art, and we also had to do an art project.
