I just cash my checks at a liquor store and use cash for everything except my gas bill. I even pay cash for that sometimes.

I love my credit cards, they've helped me recover my credit score after a cell phone ruined it in my early 20s.

Yeah, I thought about opening credit cards to build credit too. I never really used mine so that's why I just paid them off and never reopened them.

Cash helps me see what money I have and helps me keep track of it easier. I like to divide what I need paid off and put money in a folder thingy with dividers. It's just easier for me to keep track of that way.
