MMOs and I generally don't get along - I find it too all-consuming and taking overy. ^^;

Athilea Majiri 05-28-2010 01:08 PM

It's only all consuming if you allow it to be. I don't log in until after my son goes to sleep for the night, which is around 8 pm. So I don't spend that much time playing it.

Naeril 05-28-2010 01:10 PM

MMO's are like all other games... if you let em eat you they will...

kimonoki 05-28-2010 01:13 PM

I'M BACK !!!!!!

exedust 05-28-2010 01:15 PM

WoW was addictive D: managed to quit though

hi kimonoki ~~

Athilea Majiri 05-28-2010 01:16 PM

I played WoW for quite some time, but I still did the same thing. At least after my son was born. Before then I would just play if for hours, but I didn't have a lot else going on so I could.

Man, my Power Hour is going to be over before I can do another mission.

kimonoki 05-28-2010 01:18 PM

hi

Naeril 05-28-2010 01:18 PM

WoW is BULLSHIT

exedust 05-28-2010 01:19 PM

ahah I agree, it's pretty much endless and a vortex for sucking people's money in...

Athilea Majiri 05-28-2010 01:19 PM

Err, tell us how you really feel?

kimonoki 05-28-2010 01:21 PM

what is WoW?????

Athilea Majiri 05-28-2010 01:21 PM

World of Warcraft.

Water Fairy Clione 05-28-2010 01:22 PM

I'm still hesitating about WOW, I don't want to play an MMO that I have to pay continously, but I heard it's really good, and I am a warcraft fan, so...
my internet also isn't that stable, and can probably only support the game a week or 2 per onth and the rest of the days I won't be able to keep up with the speed.

Athilea Majiri 05-28-2010 01:23 PM

I enjoyed wow quite a bit, but there were things that I came to dislike about the game. I miss the friends I made there quite a bit, but I'm in no hurry to return to the game.

jessieomer 05-28-2010 01:23 PM

I don't play WoW. But I know someone who does and he plays it constantly

kimonoki 05-28-2010 01:23 PM

ohhhhhhh that is right.....i am not really that interesed.... sadly my life and daughter will not let me have the time.....fifteen months old.....busy so busy......lol

exedust 05-28-2010 01:23 PM

@ water fairy - you probably wouldn't want to start ^_^ it's a steep learning curve and also if your internet is unstable, you won't be able to get that far in the game... to get good gear and equipment you have to constantly raid dungeons (in large groups 10+ ) and that is VERY time consuming...

Naeril 05-28-2010 01:24 PM

No, no... I mean it's stupid and ugly. I don't see why people like it that much at all... Some subliminal message or something...

Athilea Majiri 05-28-2010 01:24 PM

My son is 15 months old as well!

I don't log into Aion until after I put him to bed for the evening.

----------

Well, that may be your opinion but there is a lot that I liked about it when I did play. I just came to dislike things about it over the years.

jessieomer 05-28-2010 01:25 PM

I don't think I will like WoW. Hardly wanted to play Runescape. And they are both kinda the same right?

exedust 05-28-2010 01:26 PM

@ naeril - I'm not sure either :'D I didn't think the graphics were pretty or anything but once I was well into the game , somehow found myself slightly addicted D: Something about the game that makes one keep going...

Water Fairy Clione 05-28-2010 01:26 PM

I usually only play by myself anyways so I guess dungeon raiding would be next to impossible for me. ^_^;

Athilea Majiri 05-28-2010 01:26 PM

Err...if I remember runescape correctly they are only the same thing in the vaguest sense of the word....of course...I never could get into runescape when it first came out. A lot could have changed about it.

Water Fairy Clione 05-28-2010 01:27 PM

I play Trickster and Flyff occassionally, haven't touch either in months though

exedust 05-28-2010 01:27 PM

Runescape is more like... Tibia...if anyone knows what that is...
I think WoW is a whole different type of game, you need to work in large groups after some point if you want to get further into the game D:
